Sashi have parted ways with Tynan “TjP” Purtell and Jordan “Hatz” Bajic less than three weeks after signing the Australian duo as part of an attempt to move into the Asian VRS.
Sashi owner Claus “D0KT0R3N” Nielsen confirmed the departures to Dust2.dk and said the decision was not caused by recent results. He instead pointed to continued uncertainty around the regional rules and criticized how Valve handled the situation compared to BC.Game.
Sashi end short-lived Asian project
TjP and Hatz joined Sashi at the beginning of October alongside Anton “Anlelele” Huynh, who holds Vietnamese citizenship.
The changes were designed to give the roster an Asian majority and improve the chances of qualifying for PGL Singapore Major 2026 through the regional VRS.
Valve then introduced a new rule requiring a roster to stay out of another regional VRS list for the previous three calendar months before receiving a new Regional Assignment.
The rule blocked the planned route for Sashi, while BC.Game later received a direct exception allowing the roster to remain in Asia and stay eligible for a Major invitation.
D0KT0R3N has now confirmed that both Australians have left Sashi by mutual agreement.
We had a mutual agreement, and we agreed on it now.
The owner added that he had a good relationship with both players and described TjP and Hatz positively despite the short period together.
Hatz also confirmed his availability shortly before the announcement, stating that he is now looking for a new team.
I’m LFT and available if anyone is needing to fill 1 for brissy lan!

D0KT0R3N accuses Valve of preferential treatment
D0KT0R3N said the decision was not primarily driven by Sashi finishing last at Stake Pulse Beat III and 17th–20th at DraculaN Season 7.
Instead, he pointed to a lack of communication from Valve.
According to the Sashi owner, the organization contacted Valve several times and was told to communicate by email rather than arrange a call. He said almost two weeks have now passed without another response.
BC.Game and Valve sorted it out in one day, so it certainly sounds like Valve is ignoring us.
D0KT0R3N argued that teams should receive equal treatment when dealing with the same rules.
It’s preferential treatment, and that has no place in sport.
Valve have not publicly responded to the accusation.
The comparison comes after BC.Game received an official exception allowing the roster to continue the Singapore Major race through Asia.
Sashi return to the drawing board
The departures leave Sashi with only Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss and Anlelele on the active roster.
Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand, Casper “Cabbi” Jensen and Lukas “Beccie” Bauder Balcells remain on the bench, while Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen continues as coach.
Current Sashi roster:
- Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss
- Anton “Anlelele” Huynh
- Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen — coach
- Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand — benched
- Casper “Cabbi” Jensen — benched
- Lukas “Beccie” Bauder Balcells — benched
D0KT0R3N said the organization will now reconsider the direction of the Counter-Strike project following the failed regional switch.
We have to go back to the drawing board and put together a plan for how the project should look going forward.
