Scrawny shared his first impressions of de_elevation, a new CS2 community map created by Frisk. He immediately praised its colorful visual style, Colombian setting, and strong contrast, while noticing several design ideas reminiscent of Overpass.
From a gameplay perspective, Scrawny highlighted the variety of positions on both bombsites and the map’s unusual use of verticality. He found B more straightforward, while A stood out because of its unique bomb plant zone and different post-plant possibilities.
The biggest highlight for him was mid, which connects different parts of the map and gives Terrorists plenty of options for rotations and splits. Overall, Scrawny liked the map’s fast timings, compact size, and fresh atmosphere, and once again called for Valve to add more community maps to competitive CS2.
