Valve has granted BC.Game an exception to the newly introduced VRS regional assignment rule, allowing the roster to remain in Asia and qualify for PGL Singapore Major 2026 through the regional ranking.
The decision was added to the official Tournament Operation Requirements exceptions list one day after Valve introduced a three-month restriction on changing VRS regions.
Valve confirm eligibility for BC.Game in Asia
The updated exceptions list includes a direct ruling for the current BC.Game roster:
“BC.Game (asap, Magisk, mzinho, s1mple, Senzu) are assigned to the Asia region and are eligible for a Major invitation.”
The ruling means BC.Game can continue competing for an invitation through the Asian VRS despite appearing in the European regional ranking during the previous three calendar months.

New rule initially blocked the Major route for BC.Game
Valve changed the Major Supplemental Rulebook on October 6 by introducing a three-month restriction on regional assignments.
Under the new rule, a roster can only receive a Regional Assignment if it has not appeared in another regional VRS list during the preceding three calendar months.
BC.Game had already moved from Europe to Asia after adding Tyson “asap” Paterson to a roster featuring Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold and Ayush “mzinho” Batbold.
The team completed the required ranked matches and entered the Asian VRS before the new restriction was introduced, but previous appearances in Europe suddenly made the roster ineligible under the updated wording.
BC.Game appealed the decision
After the rule change, representatives of BC.Game publicly questioned how the restriction would affect a roster that had completed the regional switch before the update.
CEO Ali “Ako” Muhanned even proposed removing all existing VRS points from the team and allowing the lineup to start from zero in Asia.
Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas also confirmed that BC.Game would contact Valve and appeal the situation.
Valve ultimately chose to grant a direct exception instead of resetting the ranking points.
BC.Game return to the Singapore Major race
The decision restores the Major qualification path through Asia for BC.Game and removes the uncertainty created by the new regional assignment rule.
HLTV previously listed BC.Game as having clinched an invitation in its Major simulator before the rule change temporarily put the eligibility of the roster in doubt.
With Valve now officially confirming that BC.Game are eligible for a Major invitation through Asia, the team can continue toward PGL Singapore Major 2026 under the existing regional position.
