Vitality defeated Aurora 3:1 in the Grand Final to become champions of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. After losing to Aurora in the Upper Bracket Final a day earlier, Vitality won the rematch behind another outstanding performance from Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who finished the Bo5 with a 1.51 Rating 3.0.
Tournament context
StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 took place in Barcelona from September 17–20 and featured eight teams in a Double Elimination bracket. Every match was played as a Bo3 before the Bo5 Grand Final, with $500,000 split equally between player prize money and club share.
Aurora reached the Grand Final through the upper bracket, defeating NAVI and NRG before beating Vitality 2:1 in the Upper Bracket Final. It was the first final for the current Aurora roster with kyxsan, Jimpphat and coach ash.
Vitality opened their run with wins over magic and FURIA before the loss to Aurora dropped them into the lower bracket. They then swept FURIA 2:0 in the Consolidation Final to earn an immediate rematch for the trophy.

How the match unfolded — Aurora vs Vitality

Vitality immediately broke Aurora pick on Anubis. They dominated the opening half 9:3 and conceded only one round after the side switch, taking the map 13:4.
Aurora responded on Inferno. A 7:5 first half gave them the advantage, and the teams split the second half 6:6 as Aurora held on for a 13:11 victory to level the Grand Final.
Vitality answered with another dominant performance on Mirage. They went into halftime ahead 8:4 before winning five straight rounds after the break, closing Aurora second pick 13:4.
Cache became the championship map. Vitality held a narrow 7:5 lead at halftime before taking six of the next eight rounds to win 13:7 and complete the 3:1 series.
Nuke was left as the fifth map but was not played.

ZywOo was the highest-rated player in the Grand Final and finished with a +27 kill differential across four maps.
Vitality also received major contributions throughout the lineup. Shahar “flameZ” Shushan posted a 1.28 Rating 3.0, Robin “ropz” Kool finished at 1.19 with 61–43 K–D, and William “mezii” Merriman recorded a 1.18 rating with 59–42 K–D.
Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın was the only Aurora player to finish above a 1.00 Rating 3.0, ending the final at 1.15. XANTARES, woxic, kyxsan and Jimpphat all finished below 0.85.

The championship added another 11 points to Vitality VRS total, while Aurora remained ninth despite losing nine points.
What’s next?
Vitality finish StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 in first place and receive $100,000 in player prize money, with another $100,000 going to the organization as club share — $200,000 combined.
Aurora take second place and receive $65,000 in player prize money plus a $65,000 club share, totaling $130,000. The runner-up finish also completes the first Grand Final appearance for the current roster.
Match summary
Vitality responded to their Upper Bracket Final defeat in convincing fashion. Three of the four maps they won in the title match ended with Aurora reaching seven rounds or fewer, while ZywOo delivered the strongest individual performance of the series.
