ZywOo, ropz, and frozen have around 30,000 hours in CS

Pro players from the Esports World Cup revealed how many hours they have spent in CS:GO and CS2, and the numbers turned out to be very telling. At the top of the list are ZywOo, ropz, and frozen, who have roughly 30,000 hours each, while younger players such as Makazze, Krabeni, and xertioN have already approached the level of experience that used to be associated only with scene veterans.

ZywOo, ropz, and frozen have the most hours

The highest numbers in the selection belong to ZywOo, ropz, and frozen. ZywOo is listed with 30,000 hours at 25, frozen has approximately the same amount at 24, and ropz at 26 is also around the 30,000 mark, possibly slightly lower or higher. This is no longer just extensive gaming experience, but essentially years of daily practice on the server.

Such numbers clearly explain why these players have remained at the top level for years. In their case, it is not only about mechanics, but also about a huge number of played situations: retakes, clutches, timings, trades, map control, and adaptation to different metas. This is exactly the volume of practice from which stability is formed, something that is difficult to see only through the final statistics of a match.

The 25,000-hour group

A separate group of players who already have around 25,000 hours or more also stands out. Twistzz has 25,000 hours at 26, dgt has 25,000 at 25, and xfl0ud is listed with more than 25,000 at 23. This is the level where a player already has not just extensive experience, but a very deep foundation for different roles and game scenarios.

Interestingly, these players represent different styles of Counter-Strike. Twistzz is associated with mechanics and international-stage experience, dgt with a large amount of individual work, while xfl0ud at 23 already has a number that can be compared with much older professionals. This once again shows how early modern players begin accumulating hours.

Makazze already has 17,000 hours at 19

The most telling number among young players belongs to Makazze. At 19, he already has 17,000 hours in CS:GO and CS2. For comparison, DarkMeister has 5,000 hours at 18, tikuak has approximately 5–6 thousand at 17, and Lake has 11,000 at 21. Against this background, Makazze’s number looks especially sharp.

That is exactly why his number caught the community’s attention so strongly. Having 17,000 hours at 19 means that a significant part of his life has already been connected with Counter-Strike. Such a volume of practice does not guarantee automatic success, but it clearly explains why young players today can enter a high level very quickly and not look out of place there.

20,000 hours as the new standard for the top level

In the middle part of the list, many players are around the 20,000-hour mark. Krabeni has 20,000 at 21, xertioN also has 20,000 at 22, HeavyGod is listed with a maximum of around 20,000 at 24, max has almost 20,000 at 27, and slaxz has 19,500 at 27. Next to them, phzy has 18,000 hours at 23.

This creates an interesting impression: for modern professional CS, the 20,000-hour mark already looks almost like a working standard among players who are aiming for a serious level. Previously, such numbers could have seemed extreme, but now they are increasingly becoming part of the usual profile of a top or near-top player.

Veterans do not always have the most either

huNter looks especially interesting separately: at 30, he has more than 20,000 hours. That is a lot, but not more than some younger players. For example, sh1ro has 22,000 at 25, xfl0ud has more than 25,000 at 23, and frozen at 24 has already approached 30,000. Age in this statistic does not always directly match the number of hours.

This shows how much the generation of players has changed. Younger esports players often started playing in conditions where the professional scene had already been formed, with access to FACEIT, demos, analytics, practice servers, and constant competition. That is why they can accumulate hours much faster and reach a level earlier that once required a longer path.

What these numbers actually show

Hours in the game are not a direct ranking of player strength. 30,000 hours do not automatically mean that a player will be better than someone who has 20,000. But this statistic clearly shows the scale of work behind professional Counter-Strike and explains why the gap between amateur and top level is so large.

The main conclusion is simple: the modern scene has grown on a huge volume of practice. ZywOo, ropz, and frozen are already around 30,000 hours, while younger players such as Makazze, Krabeni, and xertioN are very quickly approaching veteran numbers. This is another reminder that behind every strong match stand not only talent and form, but also years of playing, repetitions, and constant returns to the server.
