FaZe Clan have sensationally ended their BLAST Bounty Season 2 run, falling to Virtus.pro in the decisive match for a spot at the LAN final in Malta. Despite a strong start and the return of broky to the lineup, karrigan’s squad once again failed to realize their potential, while VP continued their winning streak and secured their place among the best.
Tournament Journey
In the first round, Virtus.pro comfortably defeated MIBR 2-0 and advanced to the second round, where they chose FaZe as their opponents. The “Bears” handled this challenge as well, securing their ticket to the LAN final in Malta.

FaZe, meanwhile, overcame the Russian side BetBoom 2-0 in their opening match, but in the second round they couldn’t withstand another Russian roster and were sensationally knocked out of the tournament.
Match for the LAN in Malta
The first map was Overpass — Virtus.pro’s pick. Although not without difficulties, VP managed to take it 13-9. On their own pick, Ancient, karrigan and company equalized the series at 1-1, also with a 13-9 score.
The decider was Inferno. FaZe started well in the first half, finishing it with a 7-5 lead, but after switching sides they completely collapsed on defense. VP, playing on the T side, took 8 out of 9 rounds to close the map with the same 13-9 score and advance to the final stage in Malta.

Best Player of the Match
Despite FaZe’s loss, the highest ADR — 102.4 — and the most kills belonged to EliGE. The top rating in the match, however, went to Virtus.pro’s FL1T, who posted a 1.32.
FaZe stumble again as Virtus.pro shine in decisive clash
After broky’s return to FaZe’s active lineup, it seemed the team had found a second wind. However, as we can see, their results remain far from stable or impressive. Virtus.pro, on the other hand, delivered a confident performance in a decisive moment and rightfully advanced to the BLAST Bounty Season 2 LAN final in Malta.
