From September 5 to 7, London’s OVO Arena Wembley will host the final stage of BLAST Open 2025. Six teams that battled through the closed qualifier are now just days away from lifting the trophy. With a single-elimination bracket, no team has a safety net — every match is a high-stakes fight where one misstep could mean elimination.

Vitality — Still Standing, but Vulnerable

Vitality remain one of the most respected rosters in Counter-Strike, yet recent months have shown signs of decline. The team is no longer the unstoppable force that swept multiple trophies earlier in the season, but their structured play and experience keep them competitive. Thanks to a favorable bracket and the absence of weak opposition, Vitality should reach the final. However, against the likes of G2, FaZe, or FURIA, they could easily fall short.

FURIA — The Real Threat

Contender for the title — hard to stop in current form, this is the perfect chance to win a Tier-1 event. FURIA enter the playoffs as perhaps the most dangerous team in the field. Their group stage run was nothing short of spectacular, eliminating several heavyweights and proving they belong at the top. If they can reproduce that same level of discipline and firepower, they are more than capable of beating Vitality — and winning the entire event. The semifinal will be their true test, but this is the best version of FURIA fans have seen in a long time.

FaZe — Tested but Dangerous

FaZe’s path has been shaky but effective. They advanced past a struggling NAVI, and while that victory raised questions, their clash with Vitality in the seeding match showed real strength. FaZe pushed the favorites to the limit and nearly stole the series. If they bring that level of play into their matchup with G2, they have every chance of advancing. The duel will likely be tight, but FaZe look slightly better prepared for the pressure of Wembley.

MOUZ — Solid, but Not Sharp Enough

MOUZ have been a reliable top team for much of the year, but their recent performances lack the sharpness fans expect. They enter the quarterfinals as favorites against M80, and it would be surprising if they failed to win. However, meeting Vitality in the semifinals poses a different challenge. Unless MOUZ rediscover their Cologne form, their run in London may end earlier than they hoped.

M80 — The Wild Card

M80 arrive as the true dark horse of the tournament. Online, they have shown promise with bold tactics and high individual peaks, but the pressure of a LAN stage at Wembley is a different story. They could steal a map — maybe even a match if everything clicks — but the odds are stacked against them. Their quarterfinal against MOUZ will reveal whether they are ready to compete on this level.

G2 — Flashes of Potential, but Gaps Remain

G2’s qualification came with a notable victory over Spirit, though the latter weren’t in their best form. That win secured their playoff spot, but questions remain about their consistency. Their AWPer remains a weak link compared to elite competition, and against FaZe, that gap could prove costly. Motivation is high — especially with roster changes looming — but it feels like G2 are not yet at the level required to challenge FURIA or Vitality deep in the bracket.

Final Thoughts

The BLAST Open London 2025 playoffs bring together six teams, each with something to prove. Vitality’s experience and structure should carry them into the final, but FURIA look like the most complete and dangerous roster right now — the one team capable of dethroning them.

FaZe and G2 will provide fireworks in their quarterfinal clash, while MOUZ and M80 fight to break expectations. At Wembley, only one champion will rise, and if group stage form holds true, this might be FURIA’s tournament to lose.
