At FISSURE Playground 2, the final matches of the Swiss stage day simultaneously decided the fate of several teams: some would guarantee their spot in the playoffs, while others would say goodbye to the tournament for good. The Brazilian derby between FURIA and paiN determined which squad would represent the country in the decisive stage, while the clash between Astralis and Legacy was a do-or-die battle.

FURIA vs paiN — 2:0

  • Inferno (13:4), Dust2 (13:10)

The duel between two Brazilian giants was expected to be tense, but in practice it turned into a one-sided show. FURIA displayed discipline and composure, which secured them a well-deserved ticket to the playoffs.

Inferno turned into a disaster for paiN right from the start. FURIA dominated every aspect of the game, with the first half ending 9:3. After the side switch, the “panthers” closed it out 13:4, giving their rivals no chance at a comeback.

On Dust2, the fight was tighter: paiN managed to put up resistance and kept the map competitive until the end. However, the duo of molodoy and yuurih flipped the balance in FURIA’s favor in key moments. A 13:10 win sealed the 2:0 series.

Player of the Match

The hero of the series was Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, who not only posted phenomenal stats (36–17, ADR 91.8, Rating 1.35) but also stayed consistent in clutch moments. His composure and game sense repeatedly rescued his team. Alongside him, yuurih (33–17, Rating 1.35) shined as the true engine of the lineup.

paiN Collapse Under Pressure

While biguzera (1.06) tried to keep the team afloat, the rest of the roster was too inconsistent. Snow, nqz, and especially dav1deuS (0.69) struggled to withstand the pressure. Ultimately, paiN exit the tournament, once again raising questions about their mental resilience.

Astralis vs Legacy — 2:0

  • Mirage (13:8), Nuke (13:8)

For Astralis, this was a life-or-death match. A loss meant elimination, and the Danes managed to pull themselves together when it mattered most.

On Mirage, Legacy’s map pick, the Danes set the tempo from the start. device and Staehr practically shut the map down single-handedly, forcing their opponents into reactive play. Despite some bright rounds from Legacy, Astralis closed it 13:8.

Nuke followed a similar script: a close first half, but after the switch Astralis showed discipline that Legacy simply couldn’t match. Another 13:8 result sealed a clean 2:0 series.

Player of the Match

The standout performer was Nicolai “device” Reedtz, once again proving he is the heart of Astralis. His 33–20 scoreline, ADR 80.2, and 1.43 rating were decisive. Device’s control with the AWP and calm presence in clutch situations gave Astralis the edge. Staehr (42–28, ADR 111.5, Rating 1.42) also delivered a huge impact, winning critical entry duels.

Legacy Fall Short

Brazilians latto (31–31) and n1ssim tried to keep the game under control, but overall the team lacked experience. Poor execution in attack and weaknesses in clutch moments led to a predictable exit from the tournament.

  • FURIA secured a playoff berth and reaffirmed their status as Brazil’s top team.
  • Astralis avoided disaster and remain alive in the battle for the next stage.
  • paiN and Legacy bow out, leaving behind more questions than answers.

The Swiss stage of FISSURE Playground 2 is entering its decisive phase: soon we will know the full list of teams heading to the playoffs to fight for the title.
