Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2, introducing the Genesis Collection along with several gameplay, UI, and technical improvements. The update weighs approximately 2.8 GB.
Genesis Collection
The new Genesis Collection features 17 community-created finishes. Items from the collection can be accessed via the Genesis Uplink Terminal, which is now available as a weekly drop.

Map Scripting
CS2 now includes cs_script, a JavaScript-based scripting system for maps.
To showcase its functionality, Valve also added script_zoo.vmap, a demonstration map designed to highlight scripting features.
UI Improvements

Players can now inspect another player’s loadout when spectating.

All inspect panels now support zoom (mousewheel) and pan (Shift + drag).
Sound
Each grenade now has unique, high-fidelity sounds for:

Miscellaneous
Valve has also made various improvements to subtick shooting consistency.
The community is already reacting strongly to the update: while many players welcome the Genesis Collection and enhanced grenade sounds, others are particularly focused on the introduction of scripting, which could reshape the future of custom content in CS2. Valve continues to steadily expand the game, with the previous update released on September 11.
