FNATIC may replace CYPHER with a Ukrainian player

The British organization FNATIC is preparing another roster change in its CS2 lineup. Well-known insider Vladyslav Hromov has reported that the team plans to replace Cai “CYPHER” Watson, with the main candidate for his position being Nikita “jackasmo” Skyba from Passion UA. FNATIC is also showing interest in another Ukrainian talent — David “Dawy” Bibik from Inner Circle.

POSSIBLE ROSTER CHANGE BEFORE A SERIES OF MAJOR TOURNAMENTS

According to available information, the changes could take place before the start of CS Asia Championships 2025, after which Fnatic will compete at PGL Masters Bucharest and StarLadder Budapest Major.
Although the team recently won Fragadelphia Blocktober 2025, the organization aims to strengthen its lineup ahead of the main events of the season.

FNATIC currently ranks #26 in the global standings (VRS #21), but according to sources, management is dissatisfied with the team’s progress. The new coach, Miks “Independent” Sliņš, has been working with the roster for only five months and is already actively searching for players capable of providing top-level stability.

WHO ARE JACKASMO AND DAWY

Nikita “jackasmo” Skyba (18 years old) — one of the most promising young talents from Passion UA. His average rating of 1.06, ADR of 75.5, and KAST of 72% indicate consistent efficiency both in attack (T Rating 1.08) and defense (CT Rating 1.04).
His playstyle — an aggressive entry rifler — fits well with Fnatic’s structure, where blameF plays the lurker role. Jackasmo stood out with strong performances at Fragadelphia Blocktober 2025, helping Passion UA reach the finals.

David “Dawy” Bibik (18 years old) — another promising Ukrainian who plays for Inner Circle. Over the past three months, his stats include a 1.17 rating, 82.7 ADR, and 1.20 Impact, making him one of the most effective young players on the European scene. Dawy is a versatile rifler, capable of playing both as an entry and a mid-round player.

COMMUNITY REACTION

The news immediately sparked widespread reactions on social media:

  • “Fnatic is becoming a Ukrainian team,” users joked, referring to the fact that the roster already includes fear and jambo from Ukraine.
  • “A kick before the Major — classic Fnatic,” fans complained, noting that changing a player before three major tournaments could be risky.
  • “Jackasmo deserved it!” wrote members of the Ukrainian scene, emphasizing that this is a logical step for a player who has long outgrown the level of local leagues.

Under Hromov’s post, which has already gained over 27,000 views, fans are actively discussing the potential move, suggesting that FNATIC could turn into a “Ukrainian-British mix.”

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR FNATIC

After a string of disappointing results during the summer and a successful resurgence in October, Fnatic is trying to find the right balance between experience and youth. The team is currently on a four-match winning streak but still lacks consistency in major tournaments.

A potential reinforcement with jackasmo or Dawy could:

  1. strengthen their entry fragging potential,
  2. provide tactical flexibility for blameF,
  3. and form a new core around Ukrainian players fear, jambo, and the possible newcomer.

OUTLOOK

Although the organization has not officially confirmed the move, Hromov’s source is known for reliability within the insider community. If the transfer goes through, Fnatic would become the first top European club with a majority of Ukrainian players.

The final decision is expected before October 14, when the team departs for CS Asia Championships 2025.
