After a dominant start and a confident victory against Liquid at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, kensizor spoke with us in an exclusive interview about what fueled their early momentum, how the team read key situations on Mirage, expectations ahead of the clash with Fnatic, and which Stage 1 underdogs truly caught his attention.
You started the game very well, winning seven rounds in a row. What do you think was the main issue for Liquid on their defense?
I don’t think Liquid had any big issues. We just did what we do well and what we’re confident in.
At 2–1, siuhy was sitting in default, and even after you killed everyone else, esenthial was still holding it while you were spamming ninja. Were you expecting that position, or did it happen spontaneously?
Yeah, yeah, we were waiting. Even though we cleared ninja, we still expected it.
They had a full month without official matches. Do you think any of their players changed their playstyle significantly during that time?
We haven’t really played against them — I think not a single official — so no one really surprised us.

Did you expect Mirage specifically?
Yeah, yeah.

Which map would you like to play against Fnatic?
Honestly, no idea.
Is there a difference for you between playing on stage or off-stage?
Not really. The lighting is just different… The practice rooms feel a bit more comfortable than the arena.
Is there any team you would especially like to face at this event?
Probably none.
So no “favorite opponent”?
Not really, no.
Which Stage 1 team that advanced surprised you the most?
M80.
