From October 7 to October 13, the Farmasi Arena will be home to 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams, accompanied by the unmistakable energy of thousands of passionate fans. This premier CS2 event offers a $250,000 prize pool and serves as a pivotal stop in the Intel Grand Slam season, where MOUZ and FaZe are vying for the title with two wins each, while G2, Vitality, and Natus Vincere remain in contention with one win apiece.
The tournament format will see the teams split into two groups of eight, battling through a double-elimination bracket. Most matches will be best-of-three, except for the best-of-one openers on day one. The top six teams will advance to the playoffs at Farmasi Arena, with a thrilling quarter-final to kick things off between the second and third seeds before the semi-finalists from the group stages await. The final showdown will culminate on Sunday, October 13, where the champions of IEM Rio 2024 will be crowned.
With top-tier teams such as Natus Vincere, G2, Vitality, and MOUZ in attendance — four of the five highest-ranked in the world — this tournament promises intense competition, heightened by the Brazilian crowd’s unparalleled fervor.
