Astralis have officially confirmed the loan signing of Anton “Anlelele” Huynh from Sashi for PGL Major Singapore 2026. The Vietnamese player will join the team on a short-term basis and help the Danish organization at the final major tournament of the season.
Astralis find a replacement ahead of the Major
The signing of Anlelele was a necessary decision for Astralis ahead of the Major. The team needed to find a player who could compete in Singapore instead of Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov, and the agreement with Sashi was finalized shortly before preparations began.
Anlelele has joined Astralis on loan, meaning this is not a permanent transfer for now. The organization has already begun preparing for the tournament with its new roster, while the player himself will have the opportunity to compete at the biggest tournament of the final part of the season.
Why cmtry will miss the tournament
Astralis’ main problem is related to cmtry’s status in VRS. The player remains registered on FUT’s roster, meaning he cannot represent Astralis at PGL Major Singapore.
The situation was further complicated by the fact that FUT had played only four matches with SunPayus. As a result, the team had to register the Spaniard as their substitute for the Major, effectively eliminating the possibility of adding cmtry to Astralis’ tournament roster.
Anlelele gets a major opportunity
For Anlelele, the loan move to Astralis represents an opportunity to prove himself at a significantly higher level. Before the move, he represented Sashi, but now he joins a roster preparing for one of the biggest tournaments of the year.
However, there will be little time to adapt. The move took place immediately before the final stage of the season, meaning Astralis will have to integrate the new player into their system quickly and establish his roles before the Major begins.
What happens to jabbi?
Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, who is currently benched, also formally remains on Astralis’ VRS roster. However, he is not expected to return to the starting lineup for the Major.
That is why Anlelele is effectively set to become the team’s fifth active player in Singapore. He is expected to compete alongside phzy, Staehr, ryu, and siuhy, while NEO will continue to lead the roster as coach.
Astralis will start in Stage 2
Astralis will begin their PGL Major Singapore campaign directly in Stage 2, which is scheduled to start on November 28. This gives the team several weeks to prepare Anlelele for a new level of competition and adjust the necessary elements of their game.
For the organization itself, this Major will mark an important conclusion to the season following another roster change. The main question now is how quickly Astralis can establish chemistry with their new player and whether the short preparation period will be enough to remain competitive in Singapore.
Astralis roster for the Major
Astralis are expected to compete at PGL Major Singapore with phzy, Staehr, ryu, siuhy, and Anlelele. The latter has joined only on loan, so his long-term future with the organization remains uncertain.
For Astralis, this is effectively an emergency roster rebuild ahead of the biggest tournament at the end of the year. The team decided against bringing jabbi back into the active lineup and instead placed their trust in Anlelele, who will now have to adapt quickly to his new teammates and make his debut for the organization directly at the Major.
