Aurora defeated M80 2:0 in the Group A lower-bracket semi-final at BLAST Open Porto 2026, eliminating the North American collective from the tournament. Aurora gave up only eight rounds across Dust2 and Inferno and advanced to the lower-bracket final against G2.
The next series will be a rematch of the opening round, where G2 defeated Aurora 2:0 on Inferno and Anubis. This time, the winner will secure a place in the playoffs, while the loser will leave the tournament.
Aurora gave M80 only eight rounds across two maps
- Dust2 (Aurora pick) — 13:3
- Inferno (M80 pick) — 13:5
Aurora immediately took control on Dust2, their own map pick. They built a 9:3 lead in the first half and did not give M80 a single round after the side switch, closing the map with four consecutive rounds.
The situation became even worse for M80 on Inferno. Despite playing their own pick, they entered halftime down 2:10. M80 managed three rounds in the second half, but Aurora matched them and finished the map 13:5.
Aurora also extended their recent advantage in the matchup. They defeated M80 2:0 at Esports World Cup 2026 earlier in August, meaning M80 have now lost two consecutive best-of-three series against the collective.

Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın recorded the most kills in the match with 30, while every Aurora player finished above a 1.00 rating. Mason “Lake” Sanderson was the highest-rated M80 player at 0.87, and none of the five M80 players ended the series with a positive K–D.

The victory added 28 points to the Aurora VRS total, increasing it from 1,584 to 1,612. The collective remains at #12.

M80 lost five points after the elimination, dropping from 1,314 to 1,309. The collective remains at #39.

G2 won the first meeting between the two collectives at the event 2:0, taking Inferno 13:5 before closing Anubis 16:12. Aurora now get an immediate chance to answer that opening defeat with a playoff spot on the line
