Bad News Eagles have teased a return to competitive Counter-Strike more than a year after the Kosovar team disbanded in June 2025. On November 7, the organization published a short video on X announcing a new era for BNE and directing fans to a newly launched website.
The teaser did not reveal any players, coaching staff or tournament plans. However, according to Dust2 Brasil, the official website indicates that a new lineup could be announced on November 29.

The organization has not confirmed whether the project will feature former players or a completely new roster. The announcement also does not specify when the team will return to official competition.
According to Dust2 Brasil, November 29 is listed as the expected date for a new lineup announcement. However, the organization has not provided further details about potential signings.
Bad News Eagles previously competed at three Majors
Bad News Eagles became known internationally in 2022 after qualifying for PGL Major Antwerp with a lineup featuring Sener “SENER1” Mahmuti, Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci, Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi, Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci and Rigon “rigoN” Gashi.
The Kosovar team went on to compete at three consecutive Counter-Strike Majors:
- PGL Major Antwerp 2022 — 15th–16th place
- IEM Rio Major 2022 — 12th–14th place
- BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 — 12th–14th place
Their most notable achievement came at IEM Rio Major 2022, where Bad News Eagles eliminated FaZe from the Legends Stage. At the time, FaZe were the reigning Major champions after winning PGL Major Antwerp earlier that year.
The performances eventually attracted the attention of Guild Esports, which signed the roster in November 2023. However, the partnership ended in May 2024 after the team failed to reproduce its earlier results.
Bad News Eagles disbanded in June 2025
The original players reunited under the Bad News Eagles name in early 2025, returning to competition after spending time on different teams. However, the project struggled to achieve consistent results and did not return to the level of its previous Major appearances.
On June 29, 2025, Bad News Eagles announced that the lineup would disband after its final tournament commitments, ending the renewed project only a few months after the reunion.
Several former players subsequently continued their careers with other organizations. The original lineup has not competed together since the disbandment, and it remains unknown whether any of those players will participate in the new project.
New roster announcement could arrive in November
The November 7 teaser is the first indication of a new Bad News Eagles project since the previous lineup separated. The organization has not yet revealed its competitive plans or confirmed any agreements with players.
The next development could arrive on November 29, the date reportedly displayed on the new BNE website. Until an official roster announcement is released, the identities of the players and the team’s return to competition remain uncertain.
