BBL have officially signed Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen after moving Jonas “Boye” Boye Østergaard to the bench. The move completes the first roster change since BBL entered Counter-Strike with the former Echo lineup.
MistR joins the team shortly after leaving Sashi, where he had been removed from the starting lineup during the attempt to build an Asia-region majority ahead of PGL Singapore Major 2026.
Boye moves to the bench
BBL first announced that Boye had been moved to a substitute position effective immediately.
The 22-year-old had been part of the lineup since BBL entered Counter-Strike at the end of August.

During his time in the starting lineup, BBL reached 3rd–4th place at ROG JOURNEY Autumn 2026 after defeating BC.Game in the quarter-final before losing to Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The team also reached the semifinals of the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 Closed Qualifier but did not qualify for the main event.
MistR officially joins BBL
Shortly after the benching of Boye, BBL officially announced MistR as the fifth player in the CS2 lineup.
Planlamalarımız doğrultusunda MistR, CS2 kadromuza dahil oluyor!

The move had been reported earlier by Turkish outlet Arhaval, which stated that the sides had reached an agreement.
MistR became available after mutually parting ways with Sashi on October 8.
The Danish player had previously been removed from the starting lineup alongside Casper “Cabbi” Jensen when Sashi added Tynan “TjP” Purtell and Jordan “Hatz” Bajic as part of an attempt to establish an Asia-region majority in VRS.
Valve later introduced a rule preventing rosters from receiving a regional assignment if they had appeared in another regional VRS list during the previous three calendar months, ending the planned short-term switch.
MistR subsequently left Sashi and has now immediately returned to an active lineup with BBL.
BBL complete first roster change
MistR replaces Boye directly in the starting five and joins a lineup that has remained together since the organization entered CS2.
BBL currently consist of:
- Oliver “IceBerg” Berg
- Jason “salazar” Salazar
- Jamie “leakz” Bugge West Jensen
- Nicky “NickyB” Bruhn
- Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen
- Kenni “wezx” Holmberg — coach
- Jonas “Boye” Boye Østergaard — benched
The updated roster is set to continue the season with MistR as the new fifth player.
