BC.Game Are Rebuilding Again: s1mple Could Be Let Go

BC.Game are once again sharply reshuffling their roster, and this no longer looks like a minor adjustment before the next tournament. Through several pieces of news at once, the team have shown that the project around s1mple and electroNic is entering a new phase — with roster losses, new roles, and a very unclear sense of stability.

BC.Game quickly rolled back part of their winter rebuild

The loudest signal is that MUTiRiS and aragornn have been sent to the bench just three months after signing. For any project, that is already a bad sign, but especially for BC.Game. The team had not yet properly established its new structure before it had effectively started admitting that some of its decisions had not worked.

Such rapid changes almost always mean one of two things: either management made mistakes in selecting the players, or it became clear very quickly inside the team that the current model had no workable ceiling. In both cases, this is not about healthy roster evolution, but about an emergency change of course.

BC.Game immediately changed the perception of roles within the roster

It is also important separately that electroNic will not be the captain. That is another telling detail, because it breaks one of the natural assumptions around the lineup: that an experienced player of that scale would automatically become the center of control.

In reality, BC.Game seem to have decided not to overload electroNic with IGL duties. And there is logic in that. If the team want to get the maximum out of him as a hard fragger and experienced winner, then putting the full burden of calling on him as well is a risky path. The problem is something else: if electroNic is not captaining, then who exactly is supposed to hold this team’s structure together.

nocries at IEM Atlanta is an interesting decision, but it looks like a patch

It is now official that nocries will play for BC.Game at IEM Atlanta 2026. On the one hand, this adds freshness to the story: the team get a new player before the tournament, which starts on May 11, and can try to change the dynamic. On the other hand, the nature of this decision still reads not as a thought-out long-term move, but as an attempt to urgently patch holes.

All of this together creates a very strange image of BC.Game. They seem to want to look like an ambitious project, but so far they resemble a team that is constantly living in the mode of an unfinished version. One player arrives, another quickly disappears, roles are revised on the fly, and the full picture is still not visible.

The loudest part of the story is the words about s1mple

The most alarming and at the same time most candid message came from the CEO of BC.Game, who made it clear that if s1mple wants to leave, they will not hold him back.

That is a very strong statement not only because it concerns the biggest name in the project. It effectively shows that even around BC.Game’s main star, the club is not trying to create the image of a long and unshakable story. On the contrary, the organization seems to be leaving the door open from the start.

Analytically, this can be read in two ways. Either BC.Game want to show flexibility and a healthy relationship with the player. Or the club itself understands that the current project is too raw to build a long mandatory commitment around s1mple. And right now, the second reading looks even more convincing.

Ahead of IEM Atlanta, the team look not refreshed, but unstable

In the end, all of this news together creates a rather harsh portrait of BC.Game’s condition before IEM Atlanta. Formally, the team refreshed the lineup and redistributed roles. But in terms of feeling, this does not look like calm strengthening. It looks like a project that is still frantically searching for a workable form.

And that is the main problem. Big names can bring attention, hype, and hope. But when a roster lives in a mode of constant revision, no name saves it by itself. In modern CS, structural stability is almost no less important than individual class. And structure is exactly where BC.Game still have the biggest question marks.

BC.Game enter Atlanta with new decisions, but without any sense of foundation

BC.Game are heading into IEM Atlanta 2026 after yet another wave of changes: -MUTiRiS, -aragornn, nocries in the lineup, electroNic without the captain role, and s1mple’s future still open. On paper, this looks like an update, but in reality it looks more like an attempt to urgently rebuild a project that never managed to work in its previous version.

That is why the main story here is not about individual names, but about the fact that BC.Game still do not look like a team that has found itself. And without that, even the biggest transfers very easily turn not into a foundation, but into just another temporary structure.
