BC.Game have made a convincing start to the Esports World Cup 2026 Open Qualifier in Paris, winning both opening series and moving closer to the decisive stage. The European roster survived a three-map battle against BASEMENT BOYS before dismantling 1win 2-0 to extend its winning streak to six matches. Away from the server, the mood is equally positive, with s1mple sharing moments from Paris and praising the organizers, while BC.Game are already looking for a local bootcamp ahead of their next matches.
BC.Game survive BASEMENT BOYS scare
BC.Game opened their Group F campaign against Ukrainian side BASEMENT BOYS. Despite entering the match as clear favorites, s1mple and company were forced to play all three maps.
BC.Game took Inferno 13-8 before BASEMENT BOYS responded with a 13-10 victory on Nuke. The deciding Mirage, however, turned into a one-sided affair, with BC.Game closing the series 13-3 and securing a 2-1 victory.
Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold was the standout performer of the series. The Mongolian rifler finished with a 50-32 K-D record, 80.7 ADR and a 1.45 rating. s1mple followed with 49 kills and a 1.32 rating, while Ayush “mzinho” Batbold recorded a 1.08 rating.
The victory also gave BC.Game a significant boost in the Valve Regional Standings calculation shown after the match, with the team gaining 84 points.
1win offered almost no resistance
BC.Game looked considerably more comfortable in the winners’ match against 1win. This time, there was no need for a deciding map.
After 1win picked Dust2 and BC.Game selected Cache, the European roster dominated both maps. BC.Game won Cache 13-6 before producing an even more convincing 13-5 result on Dust2 to complete the 2-0 sweep.
Senzu once again topped the server with 32 kills, 86.7 ADR and a 1.55 rating. s1mple delivered another strong performance with a 1.33 rating, while electroNic and mzinho finished at 1.25 and 1.23 respectively.
The result extended BC.Game’s winning streak to six matches and added another 99 points in the post-match VRS projection. More importantly, the team avoided the kind of upset that can quickly end a run in the unforgiving EWC qualifier format.
Senzu emerges as BC.Game’s early star
While s1mple naturally attracts much of the attention around BC.Game, Senzu has been the team’s most impressive player during the opening day in Paris.
Across the two series, he posted ratings of 1.45 and 1.55, topping BC.Game in both matches. s1mple was not far behind with ratings of 1.32 and 1.33, giving the team two consistently dangerous individual performers.
The rest of the roster has also contributed. electroNic, Magisk and mzinho have provided BC.Game with enough stability that the team has not needed to rely exclusively on s1mple to carry difficult rounds.
s1mple enjoys Paris and praises EWC
The atmosphere surrounding BC.Game has also been noticeably relaxed away from the server. After the opening matches, s1mple shared footage from Paris, including a visit to the Eiffel Tower with his teammates.
The Ukrainian AWPer later publicly thanked the Esports World Cup organizers and staff for their work on the event.

The message suggests BC.Game are already fully focused on continuing their run deeper into the qualifier. At the same time, the players are trying to arrange additional practice conditions in Paris. Magisk asked his followers whether there was a bootcamp facility available around the city for BC.Game, while s1mple reposted a similar request from TAZ, who was also looking for a practice room ahead of Saturday.
BC.Game gathering momentum at the right time
BC.Game arrived in Paris needing to prove that their star-studded roster can translate its individual quality into consistent results. So far, the signs have been encouraging. Six consecutive victories, two successful series at the EWC qualifier and strong performances from both Senzu and s1mple have put the team in a promising position. The real test will come as the field gets smaller, but BC.Game have already shown that they are one of the teams to watch in the battle for the four available spots at the $2 million Esports World Cup 2026.
