BLAST Bounty Season 2 returns with a fresh format, exciting “bounties on the head,” and 32 teams from around the world. The online stage kicks off on August 5, while the final eight squads will travel to Malta for the LAN playoffs, set to take place August 14–17, where they will battle for the championship title.
Format and Dates
The tournament is divided into two stages: the online phase and the LAN finals. The online portion will run from August 5 to 10 on European servers, featuring 32 teams, each playing two best-of-three (BO3) matches. Teams that win both series will automatically advance to the finals.
A unique twist in the BLAST Bounty format is the “bounty on the head” system: lower-seeded teams (ranks 17–32) got to choose their opponents during a draft, and each of the top 16 seeds had a cash bounty placed on them—teams can claim the prize by beating a higher seed.
The LAN finals will take place August 14–17 in Malta. The eight qualified teams will compete in a single-elimination BO3 bracket, with a BO5 grand final to determine the ultimate winner.
