Chinese CS2 case farmers are reportedly worried that VACNet could shorten the lifespan of their bots. As a result, some operators have paused their activities and left their farming rigs idle.
The situation matters because case farming can generate real-money returns through in-game item sales. However, a stronger risk of bans could make large-scale bot operations far less profitable.
Farmers Wait for Better Returns
According to trader cs2insider on X, Chinese case farmers on TikTok are concerned about bot survival in Counter-Strike 2 due to VACNet.
Some farmers are leaving the business for now. However, they are not selling their rigs. Instead, they are keeping the hardware switched off while waiting for weekly drops and the Armory to become more profitable to farm again.
Every Method Seen as Risky
The farmers reportedly believe that all bot-farming methods now carry a similar level of risk. These methods include Deathmatch, Casual, drawn Competitive matches, Retake, and other modes.
Meanwhile, operators are still trying to find loopholes that could make their farms operational again. Their goal is to resume automated XP farming without exposing large groups of accounts to VACNet-related action.

How Case-Farming Bots Work
In Deathmatch, servers can be filled with AI-controlled bots that use cheats. These bots earn experience points by killing other bots, then receive cases through progression rewards.
The cases can later be sold for real money, which allows the farm to recover its operating costs. Reports and footage have previously shown Chinese CS2 farms running many accounts at once, while some accounts displayed VAC bans.
VACNet Raises the Stakes
The reported pause shows how anti-cheat pressure can affect the CS2 item economy beyond regular matchmaking. If case-farming operators remain inactive, the supply of cases generated by automated accounts could be reduced.
For now, the farmers are reportedly waiting rather than dismantling their operations. Their return may depend on whether weekly drops and the Armory once again provide enough profit to justify the risk.
