The MVP race at ESL Pro League Season 24 looks completely open after the first three playdays. Three players at once — donk, ropz, and Spinx — have the same 1.39 rating, with two of them already securing a place in the playoffs. With such a tight margin, the decisive factor may not be rating decimals, but the teams’ results in the final part of the tournament.
Three leaders with the same rating
donk, ropz, and Spinx lead the tournament’s individual statistics with the exact same Rating 3.0 — 1.39. For a group stage, this creates a rare situation where there is not even a formal sole favorite for the main individual award before the playoffs.
At the same time, the context is different for all three. ropz plays for Vitality, Spinx represents MOUZ, and donk plays for Spirit. All three remain in contention, but their teams’ results can now significantly influence who gains the advantage in the MVP race.
ropz and Spinx have already gained an important advantage
Vitality and MOUZ finished their part of the group stage with a 3:0 record and advanced directly to the playoffs. This means that ropz and Spinx are guaranteed additional matches in which they can not only maintain a high rating, but also strengthen their candidacy with performances in the decisive stage.
It is especially important that for MVP, pure statistics are usually not the only factor — how far the team goes also matters. If Vitality or MOUZ reach the final rounds, the stable level of ropz or Spinx may prove more important than a slight numerical advantage from a competitor.
donk remains in the race for now
Spirit have not yet completed their path in the group stage, so donk’s position looks slightly less stable. At the same time, his 1.39 rating already keeps the Russian among the main contenders, and Spirit reaching the playoffs would immediately put him back on equal footing with the two competitors.

For donk, the situation is even interesting in terms of potential. If Spirit play more matches on the way to the playoffs, he will have a chance to build additional statistical volume before the decisive stage begins. But any early elimination would almost immediately weaken his position in the MVP race.
The playoffs can completely change the picture
Right now, there is practically no difference between the three main candidates, so one strong or weak match can significantly change the situation. In the playoffs, the weight of individual series will also increase: a performance against a top opponent in the quarterfinal or semifinal may prove much more important than domination in one group match.
That is why the current 1.39 should be viewed only as a starting point before the decisive part of ESL Pro League Season 24. The upcoming matches will show which of the three can maintain their form under greater pressure and at the same time lead their team as far as possible.
The most open MVP race in recent memory
After the first three days of ESL Pro League Season 24, naming one obvious favorite is practically impossible. donk, ropz, and Spinx all have the same 1.39, while ropz and Spinx have already secured their continuation in the playoffs.
Now everything comes down to the decisive stage. If one of the three maintains a rating around 1.40 while also helping his team reach the final or win the trophy, he will almost certainly break ahead in the race for MVP.
