Elfishguy raised concerns over Kabal and dobu appearing in the promotion of a seven-day Counter-Strike boot camp in Mongolia aimed at players aged 10 to 18. Both former players were permanently banned over match-fixing and betting-related offenses, making their involvement in an event for young players particularly questionable in his eyes.
While acknowledging that Kabal and dobu were once among Mongolia’s most respected Counter-Strike players, Elfishguy believes their attempt to return to the scene comes too soon. He argues that only around two years have passed since their bans and that their alleged role in the match-fixing case makes the path toward redemption much more complicated.
He also questioned why respected figures in the Mongolian scene would promote the project, particularly when it involves teaching children. Elfishguy left room for the possibility that Kabal and dobu have shown remorse privately, but ultimately said the optics are poor and that both should stay away from competitive Counter-Strike for longer before attempting a comeback.
