In the French Counter-Strike scene, new talents continue to emerge. One of them is eSx, a young AWPer whose journey reflects dedication, family support, and a love for the game. Currently a part of the 3DMAX Academy roster, eSx represents a generation of players trying to grow into the professional scene.

A Family Introduction to Counter-Strike

eSx’s story begins at his home, with his brother who first introduced him to Counter-Strike and who first shared his passion for the game. In 2019, eSx received his first laptop, allowing him to play casually and the COVID period in 2020 marked a turning point for him as he watched professional matches with his brother more and more. However, it wasn’t until early 2024 that he decided to take Counter-Strike seriously.

From Fortnite to Full Commitment

Like many players of his generation, eSx initially spent a lot of time on Fortnite as the release of CS2 pushed him away from Counter-Strike at first. But with the game developing and getting more updates, his passion was reignited once he gave the game another chance.

From that moment, he fully committed to grinding the game he once loved, reaching FACEIT Level 10 in a few months as it was an objective given by her mother to earn a proper gaming setup.

An Aggressive AWPer With a Voice

In-game, eSx defines himself as an aggressive AWPer. He enjoys taking initiative, searching for opening peeks, and applying pressure against his enemies early in rounds. While holding angles did not come naturally to him at first he revealed that he’s currently training this aspect lacking in his game.

Contrary to the likes of other youngsters, communication is one of his strengths. He constantly shares information, tries to propose solutions in rounds and during timesouts, and aims to enable his team through smart AWP plays rather than individual brilliance alone. He shared his admiration for m0NESY that he described as a model for him as a player.

Early Teams and Joining 3DMAX Academy

His first team experiences played a big role in his recent rise in visibility. He competed as a Level 9 player for his first ESEA season. Later, he joined NeedOne, where he played alongside Nidoriaa. Together, they climbed to Main before his benching from the roster. He would then join Activity where he would have the opportunity to bootcamp for a week in May 2025 with the team.

The connection with 3DMAX Academy came quite naturally as eSx already knew the players and was scouted by Oz, and with his connection to Flexor taking place even before the academy project launched. When the opportunity arose, eSx chose to join a roster where he could have the necessary support to accompany him in his growth as a player. A choice that he still appreciates as he feels comfortable with the 3DMAX structure.

Supported by Many

Behind eSx’s chance to pursue his career stands a supportive family. While hesitant at first, after attending a LAN event in Lyon where they witnessed the atmosphere firsthand, his parents now fully back his Counter-Strike ambitions while encouraging him to continue his studies as a safety net.

In-game, eSx attributed a lot of his growth to Flexor, whom he describes as his “CS father”. More than a teammate or coach, Flexor has been a mentor for him and 3DMAX Academy, teaching both in-game concepts and professional habits outside the server.

Looking Ahead

eSx’s ambitions are clear. In the short term, he aims to establish himself in the ESEA Main league again, with hopes of competing in Advanced or VRS-level online competitions. Long term, the dream is simple: become the best version of himself and reach the professional level.

While he is still at an early stage of his journey, eSx is steadily forging his place in the French Counter-Strike ecosystem, and remains open to an eventual switch to international project as his english skills would allow him to do it.
