Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo reacted to FURIA elimination from FISSURE Playground 3 in a post on his personal X account. After the 0:2 loss to G2 in the Quarter-final, FalleN said the team now needs to learn from its mistakes and return stronger for the next tournaments.
FURIA TITLE DEFENSE ENDS IN THE QUARTER-FINAL
FURIA arrived in China as the defending FISSURE Playground champions but could not repeat the run from 2025. G2 ended their tournament with a 2:0 victory in the Quarter-final.
The first map was much closer, with G2 taking Ancient 16:14. FURIA then struggled on their own Dust2 pick, where G2 controlled the game and closed the map 13:3.
After the elimination, FalleN admitted that FURIA wanted to go further, especially after coming to the event to defend the title.
Of course we wanted to go further, especially coming here to defend the title, but that’s part of it. Now we have to learn from the mistakes, keep working and come back stronger for the next challenges. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who followed us, woke up early and sent us energy throughout the tournament.
FISSURE PLAYGROUND STARTED A STRONG RUN FOR FURIA IN 2025
The result is very different from the previous edition of the tournament. FURIA won FISSURE Playground 2 in September 2025, defeating The MongolZ 3:2 in the Grand Final.
That victory became the start of one of the strongest periods for the roster. FURIA later added more international trophies, including IEM Chengdu 2025 and BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2.
This time, however, the run ended before the Semi-finals, with G2 advancing to face BETBOOM.
NEXT STOP — STARSERIES SEASON 20
FURIA will not have much time before their next LAN. The team will travel to Barcelona for StarLadder StarSeries Season 20, which takes place from September 17 to 20.
Their opening match will once again put them against familiar opposition, with FURIA set to face MIBR in the first round of the double-elimination bracket.
The event will feature eight teams and a $500,000 prize pool, giving FURIA an immediate opportunity to respond after the early end of their title defense in China.
