BC.Game, BetBoom Team, 1win and PARIVISION could be forced to compete under different names and logos at PGL Major Singapore 2026 due to local gambling advertising restrictions. According to reports originating from the Esports Base Telegram channel, the four organizations have been asked to submit alternative branding ahead of the tournament.

BC.Game CEO Ali “Ako” Muhanned has already confirmed that his organization cannot use its existing name or logo in Singapore. However, PGL and Valve have not publicly confirmed the full list of affected teams or announced their replacement identities.

Four organizations reportedly affected by Singapore regulations

According to Esports Base, teams connected to gambling operators without the required Singaporean authorization will not be allowed to display their usual branding during the Major. The restrictions reportedly cover team names, logos and in-game stickers.

The four organizations named in the reports are:

  1. BC.Game
  2. BetBoom Team
  3. 1win
  4. PARIVISION

The organizations were reportedly given approximately 24 hours to submit alternative names and logos for approval. However, this deadline has not been officially confirmed by PGL or Valve.

The situation is linked to Singapore’s Gambling Control Act 2022. Section 85 prohibits advertising unlawful gambling and includes certain sponsorship and brand-sharing arrangements involving gambling companies.

BC.Game confirms rebrand while BetBoom rules out BoomBoys

BC.Game are the first of the four organizations to publicly confirm that they must change their branding. On November 6, CEO Ako explained that the requirement comes from local regulations rather than Valve.

Yes we are not allowed to use our logo and name due to regulations in singapore, it’s not valve.

The CEO also revealed that the organization has already submitted an alternative name and is awaiting approval.

According to a separate report from Esports Base, BC.Game could potentially compete under the GODSENT name. However, neither organization has officially confirmed this arrangement.

BetBoom Team CEO Artyom “Pioneer” Savelyev has also commented on the situation. He stated that the organization will not use the BoomBoys name at the Singapore Major, despite previously adopting it for The International 2026.

The final branding choices for BetBoom, 1win and PARIVISION have not been officially announced.

Teams have previously used alternative names

This would not be the first time gambling-related restrictions have affected esports organizations. Several teams have already competed under modified names at international tournaments.

During IEM Beijing 2026, BetBoom appeared as BB Team, while PARIVISION used the shortened VISION name. Meanwhile, 1win previously competed as The One during ESL Pro League.

Similar changes occurred at The International 2026 in Shanghai, where BetBoom used BoomBoys, PARIVISION competed as Team Vision and 1win appeared as Iron Wing.

The reported Singapore restrictions could also affect team stickers, which are distributed through Counter-Strike 2 Major capsules. Alternative logos may therefore be required for both tournament broadcasts and in-game content.

Major invitations remain unchanged

The reported branding restrictions do not affect the qualification status of the four teams. All have secured places at PGL Major Singapore 2026 through the Valve Regional Standings.

BC.Game and PARIVISION will begin in Stage 1, while 1win enter in Stage 2. BetBoom have qualified directly for Stage 3.

PGL Major Singapore 2026 will take place from November 24 to December 13, featuring 32 teams competing for a $1,250,000 prize pool.

For now, the remaining question is which names and logos the affected organizations will use. BC.Game have confirmed that an alternative has been submitted, while official announcements regarding the other three teams are still pending.
