9z are reportedly planning to field Brazilian AWPer Allan “history” Lawrenz instead of Ignacio “meyern” Meyer at PGL Major Singapore 2026. According to a November 6 report from Dust2 Brasil, history has been registered as a substitute and is expected to join the starting lineup for the tournament.
The reported change comes after a difficult period for the South American team, who have lost seven consecutive matches. 9z will begin their Major campaign in Stage 1 after qualifying through the Valve Regional Standings.
9z turn to history after failed ivz negotiations
According to Dust2 Brasil, 9z initially attempted to sign Iván “ivz” Quintana, who is currently on the bench at ShindeN. However, negotiations between the two organizations did not result in an agreement, forcing 9z to consider another option.
The team reportedly decided to bring in history, who previously represented Fluxo and RED Canids. The Brazilian AWPer became available after parting ways with RED Canids in March 2026 and has since competed for temporary lineups in domestic tournaments.
The report indicates that history has already been registered as a substitute for the Major. However, 9z have not officially announced the starting lineup change.

The potential roster change follows a difficult second half of the season for 9z. Earlier in 2026, the team reached the quarterfinals of the IEM Cologne Major and won XSE Pro League Guangzhou, but their recent results have been significantly weaker.
