FUT are preparing another notable roster change after the arrival of xfl0ud. According to available information, the organization is close to signing Álvaro “SunPayus” García, who is currently on G2’s bench and may become the team’s new main AWP player instead of Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov.
SunPayus may return after a three-month break
The Spaniard has not played since June, when G2 moved him to the bench and later replaced him with Artem “r1nkle” Moroz. If the transfer is completed, FUT will become SunPayus’ first active roster after roughly three months without official matches.
For the young team, this would not be just a sniper replacement. SunPayus has significantly more experience at international LANs and major playoffs, and can also help with calling as a second voice, which could potentially give FUT more tactical flexibility.
cmtry could not stabilize his form
cmtry’s place now looks the most vulnerable. He went through the NAVI Academy system, first playing for NAVI Youth, then for NAVI Junior, and in August 2025 moved to FUT together with the core of the roster.
His best moment was the victory at PGL Bucharest in April 2026, where cmtry received his first MVP award with a 1.24 rating. But overall, the season has been much more difficult — on LAN in 2026, his average rating is around 1.00.
FUT also considered other snipers
SunPayus was not the only option to strengthen the AWP position. The team also considered Henrich “sl3nd” Hevesi, who had a trial, while Alan “flayy” Krupa was also among the candidates.
However, right now SunPayus looks like the main candidate for a place in the starting lineup. His experience, stability in previous seasons, and ability to play at the highest level make this option much less risky for FUT than betting on another young sniper.

This will already be FUT’s second major transfer
The organization entered the Counter-Strike scene only last year, but has already started gradually updating its original core. In July, FUT signed Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç from HEROIC, who replaced Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea.
The possible arrival of SunPayus will continue this trend. FUT are effectively moving from a young promising roster toward a more balanced five, where players with major international experience appear alongside young performers.
The debut may happen in Bucharest
SunPayus is expected to play his first match for FUT at PGL Masters Bucharest, which will take place from October 24 to 31. This gives the team several weeks to integrate the new sniper and rebuild roles.
This timeframe looks comfortable enough not to throw SunPayus straight into official matches without preparation. At the same time, FUT will have to quickly decide how much their structure will change around the new AWP player.
Potential FUT roster
If the transfer is confirmed, the starting five will be:
- Dmytro “dem0n” Myroshnychenko
- Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija
- Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius
- Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç
- Álvaro “SunPayus” García
- András “coolio” Fercsák (coach)
On paper, this roster looks significantly more experienced than it did at the start of the season. The main question now is whether SunPayus can quickly regain form after the break and give FUT the AWP stability the team has lacked throughout 2026.
