G2 players NertZ and Hunter have shared their power rankings for the Esports World Cup CS2. The list puts Falcons, Spirit and Vitality at the top, while several teams with fresh lineups remain difficult to assess.
The discussion is notable because it combines recent results with the impact of roster changes. It also shows which sides the two players believe must still prove their level before EWC.
Falcons, Spirit and Vitality Lead S Tier
Falcons received an S-tier ranking as recent Major winners. Spirit and Vitality were also immediate selections for the top category, with no extended debate over their status.
Spirit, definitely S tier. Vitality as well. You don’t need to comment those teams too much.
FURIA were placed between S and A tier. The pair considered the team’s Major final appearance an important reason to keep it among the leading EWC contenders.
NAVI, 9z and Aurora in A Tier
NAVI were ranked in A tier. There was a short suggestion to move NAVI into S tier, but the final decision kept the team one level below Falcons, Spirit and Vitality.
9z also entered A tier after a recent tournament victory. The ranking was based on the team’s form rather than only its latest result.
9z, they play really good lately. And they won lately a tournament. One hundred percent they deserve the A.
Aurora joined the A tier after adding kyxsan and Jimpphat. BetBoom Team were also moved closer to the top category after the players reconsidered their initial B-tier placement and discussed the team’s strong previous season.

MOUZ and FaZe Stay in B Tier
MIBR, FaZe, GamerLegion, FUT, Legacy and MOUZ were placed in B tier. MIBR’s rating followed the arrival of NQZ, who was viewed positively, although the team was still considered close to C tier.
MOUZ were also seen as a side with promising changes, including PR’s arrival. However, NertZ and Hunter agreed that the roster needs to deliver results before it can receive an A-tier ranking.
MOUZ with the changes as well. I think they need to prove something. I think they will be good, with PR now as well, but still. Let’s put them for B for now.
C and D Tier Teams Face Questions
PARIVISION, 3DMAX, B8, Luminosity, Astralis, The Mongolz, TYLOO and M80 were placed in C tier. In many cases, the ranking came down to uncertain form, recent lineup changes or a lack of convincing results.
M80 were one of the clearest examples of an inconsistent team. The duo felt the North American side could match C-tier opponents, but did not see enough stability to rank it higher.
Sometimes they look good, sometimes they look bad. Yeah, all right, let’s put them on C, it’s fine.
Wildcard, Lynn Vision, NiP, Magic and paiN were placed in D tier. Wildcard still received a measured assessment, as the players did not consider the team weak enough for the lowest possible category.

G2 Joke Ends the Discussion
G2 were initially placed in F tier as part of a self-deprecating joke. NertZ and Hunter then decided to remove their own team from the ranking rather than treat the placement as a serious assessment.
Just remove G2 from the list at all. Don’t put them anywhere; Hopefully we’ll get at least us wrong and we’ll get the end in the finals, if it’s possible, but yeah.
The final tier list places Falcons, Spirit and Vitality as the leading EWC favourites. Meanwhile, teams such as Aurora, BetBoom Team, MOUZ and 9z will have an opportunity to challenge those expectations during the tournament.
