IEM Cologne: Everything You Need to Know About the Tournament
Very soon, the largest CS:GO esports event in Europe will begin. We have compiled important information about the tournament for those planning to support their favorite teams.
General Tournament Information
Dates: July 29 – August 6
Prize Pool: $1,000,000
Number of Teams: 16
Venue: Cologne, Germany
The group stage will be held in a Double Elimination Bo3 format – the group winners will advance to the playoff semifinals, while the teams that secure second and third places will proceed to the quarterfinals.
The playoffs will be conducted in a Single Elimination Bo3 format, with the Grand Final being a Best of 5 (B05) series.

The tournament will kick off with the following team matchups: The Mongoiz will face off against Mouz, and Ninjas in Pyjamas will take on Into The Breach.
