FURIA are through to the Spodek stage, and Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato has plenty to say about it. After the win over 9z, he spoke to HLTV about the team’s busy season, the final months of Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s career and his own future.
Why is this interesting? The interview shows how a team handles a packed calendar while chasing a trophy for one of its biggest legends.
FURIA Reach Spodek After a Busy Stretch
FURIA have played a lot of Counter-Strike lately. The team want to make the most of their last months with FalleN, and the goal is clear for everyone in the roster.
The win over 9z sent FURIA to the Spodek stage. It will be KSCERATO’s first main stage in Spodek, because he had never played the Katowice stage before. He said he was very happy about it.
The schedule has been full of tournaments, matches and travel. As a result, FURIA had only about 10 practice maps in the last month, so the team learn a lot during official games. KSCERATO said the players arrive with the mindset that their plans will work, and then they make them work. His words show how the team see their current stretch:
It’s hard for us. So when you see the frustration, you cannot handle it like you used to handle it. Because you’re so tired mentally that it’s like a snowball. So with this tournament we improved it, especially in this match. But we’re still complaining a little bit and losing our focus, not focusing the next round or the next step. But yeah, I think we just need to understand ourselves. We had a very good talk yesterday about it, and today was way better.
KSCERATO on FalleN’s Farewell Season and His Contract
FalleN’s retirement is an important topic around FURIA this year. KSCERATO said he wants to give everything for the best possible end to FalleN’s career, and winning a trophy is the main goal. For now, the team take it day by day.
In addition, KSCERATO is close to 1700 maps with FURIA, and his contract ends next summer. Here is how he answered when HLTV asked about his future:
Well, we have to see. My contract ends in the mid, summer, in the break in the next year. So it affects… I talk with FalleN a lot about it, and we’ll see what happens. We don’t know about the future, but I hope that my heart will choose right.

Molodoy’s Role and the Katowice Goal
The team are also working with Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, who wants to play more aggressively again. KSCERATO said the team are understanding more about how molodoy wants to play, and they help him create plays for the whole squad.
Finally, KSCERATO named his goal for the event. Katowice is the one tournament that FalleN has not won, so a title would complete his collection:
I want to win this tournament because it’s the only tournament that FalleN doesn’t have, so it would be good, eh? Finish with all the trophies.
A Special Run for FURIA in Katowice
According to HLTV, KSCERATO showed how much the FURIA players value their life in Counter-Strike. The team reached Spodek after beating 9z, and they now have a clear motivation for the playoffs. A Katowice title would also give FalleN the final trophy that he is missing.
Meanwhile, the media day on Thursday keeps the schedule busy before the playoffs, yet the team plan to rest a little bit. Therefore, FURIA enter the Katowice playoffs with strong confidence, a big emotional goal and an important summer ahead for KSCERATO.
