Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea has broken his silence on leaving FUT Esports, and his comments give fans a much clearer picture of what really happened behind the scenes. The Romanian rifler said he is glad to see his former team doing well, and he even described the split as a “win-win” for everyone involved.

That kind of reaction is rare in esports, where roster changes usually come with tension. However, lauNX went further. He revealed that unresolved problems inside the organization played a direct role in his decision to walk away, and he also explained why he currently cannot join a new team at all.

From Nexus to FUT, Then a Bench Move

lauNX joined FUT Esports on August 22, 2025, arriving from Nexus Gaming as a replacement for misutaaa. Over the following months, he became a key piece of FUT’s roster and helped the Turkish organization win PGL Bucharest 2026. In addition, his average rating during his run with the team sat around 1.10, according to team stats.

That run ended on July 7, 2026, when FUT officially moved lauNX to the bench and confirmed his contract would not be extended. At the time, reports suggested lauNX had already asked the organization for permission to explore other options for the second half of the 2026 season. In his farewell message back then, he thanked FUT for the opportunity and said his next move would be “a win-win for everyone involved”.

What lauNX Said About the Split

In his newest comments, lauNX doubled down on that idea. He said the team is better now, and that is exactly why he left. lauNX wants the team to keep winning. He also pointed out that he wrote the same sentiment in his original farewell post.

More importantly, lauNX explained the real reason for the split. He said he raised specific issues with management directly. Those issues never got fixed, though. As a result, he decided it no longer made sense to keep playing when he could not focus on the game.

He did not name the organization or the exact issues. Still, he was clear on one point: repeated inaction from leadership drove the decision, not results or teammates.

Hand Injury From a Dog Bite

lauNX also addressed his current competitive status. He said he cannot play right now because his hand is injured. His own dog caused the injury by biting him. He joked that he is not a “paycheck stealer” and will return once he is fully fit.

Notably, lauNX had been negotiating with a team before the injury happened. He said that without the dog bite, he would probably already have a new team lined up. When asked about his next destination, he said he would join any organization with common sense and a human-first approach. A sensible lineup matters most to him; nothing else really does. He also ruled out a role change. He has played the same position his entire career, and switching roles hurt him before.

Why This Matters Going Forward

lauNX’s comments confirm one thing for FUT fans: internal friction, not poor performance, drove his exit. That matches FUT’s own decision not to extend his contract back in July. Meanwhile, the dog bite injury adds an unexpected twist. It effectively pauses any move to a new roster until he heals.

lauNX was already talking to a team before the injury. Therefore, his return will likely hinge on recovery time, not on interest from organizations. That interest, based on his own account, still seems to be there.
