Legacy created one of the first major upsets of FISSURE Playground 2, defeating Heroic 2:1 in the opening Swiss round. Although the Scandinavians started with a win on Nuke, the Brazilians turned the series around on Mirage and closed Dust2 convincingly. This result immediately boosts Legacy’s reputation in the community and adds intrigue to the rest of the tournament.

FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2

An international LAN event that brings together both European and South American rosters. For Heroic, this series was supposed to reinforce their status as favorites and strengthen their ranking position. Legacy, however, came in as underdogs — but it’s exactly these kinds of victories that can reshape the balance of power on the scene.

ROAD TO THE MATCH

Heroic arrived at the tournament after victories over Spirit and Passion UA, but also disappointing losses against Aurora. The team was still searching for stability after recent roster changes.

Legacy had shown mixed form in recent months: losses to FURIA and Imperial alternated with bright victories over JJieHao and FlyQuest. The series against Heroic became their chance to prove they are ready to fight against top-20 opposition.

MATCH TIMELINE

  • Nuke — 13:9 (Legacy’s pick)

Heroic started strong on their opponent’s map. Xfl0ud scored quick entries, and nilo controlled mid with consistency. The first half ended 8:4 for the Swedes. Legacy attempted a comeback after the side switch, but Heroic’s defensive discipline left them no chance.

  • Mirage — 16:13 (Heroic’s pick)

On their own map, Heroic looked favored, but Legacy played with incredible composure. Saadzin and Latto won several key clutches, while dumau neutralized yxngstxr’s aggression in mid. After a 9:3 first half for the Brazilians, Heroic rallied to close the gap, but in the decisive moments Legacy held firm and finished 16:13.

  • Dust2 — 13:5 (Decider)

On the final map, Legacy left no room for doubt. Their attack was too varied and their defense impenetrable. Heroic managed only 5 rounds. N1ssim and Latto tore apart the defense, while lux shut down clutch attempts. 13:5 — Legacy recorded a resounding victory.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH

While the whole team performed strongly, the true hero was Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco:

  • K-D: 50–43 (+7)
  • ADR: 80.6
  • Rating 3.0: 1.20
  • KAST: 75.4%

His steady entries and clutch composure proved decisive on Mirage and Dust2. Saadzin didn’t just win rounds — he inspired his team with in-game leadership.

TEAM PERFORMANCES

Legacy

The Brazilians functioned like a well-oiled machine. Saadzin (50–43, 1.20 rating) was the key factor. Latto (52–46, 1.20) provided consistent trades and confidence in mid-rounds. N1ssim (46–43, 1.09) added tempo to attacks, dumau (46–44, 1.09) handled the dirty work on retakes, while lux (45–48, 1.02) controlled flanks and stabilized the game. The team showed maturity and discipline rarely seen in underdogs.

Heroic

Xfl0ud (56–46, 1.17) was the main driving force: his entries created space, and his aim kept them competitive on Nuke. Nilo (51–46, 1.13) tried to maintain tempo and wasn’t afraid to take initiative. Alkaren (49–48, 0.95) added aggression but often faltered in key rounds. Yxngstxr (37–48, 0.92) and LNZ (28–51, 0.67) collapsed on Dust2, where Heroic looked lost and planless. Ultimately, the Swedes started brightly but crumbled under pressure.

LOOKING AHEAD

Legacy’s stunning victory over Heroic immediately pushes them into the top-20 rankings and paves the way toward playoffs. For Heroic, however, this match is a wake-up call: despite their ambitions, the team still lacks stability and roster chemistry.
