Luminosity defeated BBL 2:0 in the quarter-final of Logitech G Play Connect 2026 and secured a place in the semifinals. After finishing second in Group A with a 3–2 record, Luminosity continued their playoff run with victories on Nuke and Mirage.
LUMINOSITY CLOSED THE SERIES IN TWO MAPS

- Mirage (Luminosity pick) — Luminosity 13:5 BBL
BBL opened the series on Nuke and kept the first half completely even at 6:6. Luminosity took control after the side switch, winning seven of the next ten rounds to close the opponent pick 13:9.
The second map was far more comfortable. Luminosity built an 8:4 advantage on Mirage before allowing BBL only one round in the second half, finishing their own pick 13:5 and completing the 2:0 sweep.
Ancient was left as the deciding map but was not needed.

afro delivered the strongest performance of the series, finishing with a +17 kill differential and the highest Rating 3.0 on the server.
Simon “yxngstxr” Boije followed closely with 36–24 K–D, 91.3 ADR and a 1.48 rating, while Lucas “lux” Meneghini completed the trio of Luminosity players above 1.20 with a 1.21 rating.
For BBL, Jonas “Boye” Boye Østergaard was the only player to finish above a 1.00 Rating 3.0, posting a 1.20 rating with 31–32 K–D.

- BBL — -9 pt → 1,238 pt, #42 → #44
Luminosity gained 29 VRS points from the victory and maintained their position at #23. BBL lost nine points and dropped two places to #44.
What’s next?
Luminosity advance to the semifinal, where they will face B8 on September 22 at 15:00 CET. B8 earned a direct semifinal berth after finishing first in Group A with a perfect 5–0 record.
The winner will advance to the Grand Final of Logitech G Play Connect 2026, which is scheduled for September 23 and will be played as a Bo5.
BBL are eliminated from the tournament after reaching the playoffs from Group B.
