MIBR have officially signed Tomas “tomaszin” Corna from BESTIA, completing the starting lineup after Breno “brnz4n” Poletto was moved to the bench earlier this week. The organization announced the transfer on X, confirming an earlier report that linked the 22-year-old Argentine rifler with the Brazilian collective.

tomaszin will make his debut for MIBR at the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier, which begins on September 2.

tomaszin replaces brnz4n

The move comes only a few days after MIBR benched brnz4n for the second time in two years. The Brazilian had returned to the starting lineup in February 2025 but was removed again following an inconsistent start to the second half of the 2026 season.

MIBR turned to tomaszin, who spent around three years with BESTIA and established himself as one of the strongest players on the Argentine roster. Across his time with the collective, the rifler averaged a 1.16 rating.

The signing also confirms the report published by Dust2 Brasil on August 22, which stated that MIBR were close to reaching an agreement for tomaszin.

tomaszin reacts to joining MIBR

Following the announcement, tomaszin thanked the organization for the opportunity and said he intends to give everything to help MIBR return to the top.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to represent such a big and historic organization.”

The 22-year-old also highlighted the players around him, saying he trusts every member of the lineup and asked fans to support the new roster.

For tomaszin, the transfer represents his first opportunity to become a permanent part of an organization with regular appearances at international tier-one events.

MIBR look to improve after difficult EWC run

MIBR enter the roster change after a mixed summer. The collective won the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 South America Closed Qualifier at the beginning of August, defeating BESTIA 2:0 in the final.

Their Esports World Cup campaign was less successful. MIBR opened the event with a 6:13 loss to Astralis before eliminating K27 2:0, but a 0:2 defeat against Legacy ended their tournament in 17th–24th place.

The collective currently sit 20th in VRS and 25th in the HLTV world ranking, making the upcoming qualifier particularly important for maintaining a place around the international top 20.

Current MIBR roster

  • Felipe “insani” Yuji
  • Linus “LNZ” Holtäng
  • Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo
  • Lucas “nqz” Soares
  • Tomas “tomaszin” Corna

Coach: Nestor “LETN1” Tanić

brnz4n remains under contract with MIBR but is currently on the bench.

tomaszin will debut at IEM Beijing qualifier

The new lineup will make its first official appearance at the IEM Beijing 2026 Closed Qualifier, scheduled for September 2–4.

Sixteen collectives will compete in a double-elimination Bo3 bracket, with the top two earning places at the IEM Beijing 2026 main event.

The qualifier will give MIBR an immediate opportunity to test the new roster and will mark the first official match for tomaszin after leaving BESTIA.
