Natus Vincere’s run at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 hit a wall on September 17. Aurora eliminated NAVI from the upper bracket with a clean 2-0 scoreline in their best-of-three quarterfinal, played on LAN. The match ended at 17:05.
The result matters because it reshapes both teams’ paths through the playoffs. Aurora move one step closer to the title, while NAVI must now fight their way back through the lower bracket. For a team with NAVI’s pedigree, an upper bracket exit against Aurora is a significant setback this early in the playoffs.
Three Maps Decide the Series
The map pool came together through the veto phase. Aurora removed Ancient first, and NAVI answered by taking out Dust2. Aurora then picked Nuke, and NAVI countered with Mirage. NAVI removed Anubis, Aurora removed Inferno, and Cache was left over as the unplayed decider.
Nuke opened the series, and Aurora took control from the start. NAVI led the first half 7-5, but Aurora dominated the second half 8-1 to close out the map 13-8. The swing gave Aurora all the momentum heading into map two.
Mirage was NAVI’s pick, but it did not go their way either. Aurora won the first half 9-3 and then split the second half 4-4, sealing the map 13-7. As a result, Aurora finished the series 2-0 and there was no need to play the decider on Cache.
MVP of the Match
Jimi “Jimphat” Salo was the standout performer of the series. The Aurora player posted a 38-23 kill-death record, an ADR of 86.2, a KAST of 75.6%, and a match rating of 1.44, the highest of any player on either team. Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski backed him up with a 1.32 rating, going 32-30 with an ADR of 84.9.
For NAVI, Drin “makazze” Shaqiri was the top performer despite the loss, finishing 32-30 with an ADR of 84.0, a KAST of 68.3%, and a rating of 1.10. Mihai “iM” Ivan followed with a 1.03 rating, going 29-32 with an ADR of 79.2.

VRS Changes for Both Teams
The result also affected both teams’ standing in the Valve Ranking System. NAVI entered the match with 1,512 points, sitting at rank #14. The loss cost them 9 points, and they dropped one spot to rank #15.
Aurora, meanwhile, entered with 1,534 points at rank #12. The win earned them 45 points, and as a result, they climbed two spots to rank #10.
What Comes Next
Aurora’s win sends them into the semifinal of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026, where they will face NRG. It is a chance for Aurora to prove their strong form was no fluke and to push further into the tournament against a well-established opponent.
