NIP Group, the parent company of esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas, has agreed to buy more Bitcoin mining machines. The deal adds about 4.47 EH/s of mining power. After closing, total capacity should reach roughly 13.85 EH/s, which would allow the company to mine about 195 BTC per month at full deployment.
This news is interesting because the organization is growing on two fronts. Off the server, an esports business is turning into a large mining operator. On the server, the NIP CS2 team has just won Stake Pulse Beat III. At the Bitcoin price at the time of publication, 195 BTC is worth about $15.66 million.
NIP’s CS2 Roster Wins Stake Pulse Beat III
The current NIP lineup is Martin “stavn” Lund and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck from Denmark, Karim “Krimbo” Moussa from Germany, Adam “adamb” Ångström from Sweden and Kacper “xKacpersky” Gabara from Poland. This roster won Stake Pulse Beat III in Stockholm. The event ran from October 12 to 17, with 16 teams and an $80,000 prize pool.
In the Grand Final on October 17, NIP played MIBR. The series ended 2-1 in favor of NIP. The deciding map finished 13-9. As a result, the team improved its chances in the Major race. After the semifinal, the latest HLTV invite prediction gave NIP a 94% chance to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major 2026.
How NIP Group Built Its Mining Business
NIP Group is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker NIPG. Besides running the Ninjas in Pyjamas brand, it works in talent management and event production.
The company made its first Bitcoin mining investment in July 2025. At that time, it bought the capacity to mine 60 BTC per month. Since then, it has kept adding equipment and has paid for it by issuing company shares. In November 2025, its hosted hashrate was 11.3 EH/s.
Details of the Third Mining Deal
On October 20, 2026, NIP Group announced a new agreement dated October 16. The company will buy mining machines that already run at hosting facilities. As a result, they should start adding to its output soon after closing.
NIP Group will pay with shares, not cash. It will issue up to 247,091,740 Class A ordinary shares to the sellers. The deal should close within ten business days after the closing conditions are met. However, the company says there is no guarantee that this will happen.
The final output still depends on network hashrate, mining difficulty and operations. In addition, NIP Group is considering using its computing power for AI and high-performance computing.
Revenue Is Not Profit
The $15.66 million figure is potential revenue, not profit. Therefore, net income will be lower. This matters because the company has reported losses in recent years. Its net loss was US$13.3 million in 2023 and US$12.7 million in 2024. In 2025, the net loss reached $238.1 million, which one report links mainly to non-cash charges.
Why It Matters for NIP
For NIP, the CS2 title and the mining deal show two different paths for growth. The roster builds the brand through results, while mining may bring income outside of tournaments. If the deal closes and the machines work at full capacity, the company could depend less on prize money and sponsors. Finally, the next updates on the closing, the BTC output and the Major race will show how both parts of the business develop.
