Peacemaker believes Valve’s new sticker system is a major blow to the CS2 economy. Teams’ Major revenue has dropped significantly, making it harder for smaller organizations to fund rosters, bootcamps, and transfers.
At the same time, he sees a positive side to the changes: organizations can no longer rely on simply qualifying for a Major to earn sticker money. They will now need to build competitive rosters, attract sponsors, and develop other revenue streams.
Peacemaker also highlighted the chaotic results at BLAST Bounty, where several favorites were eliminated. The tournament was entertaining, but he warned that financial pressure on the tier-two scene could lead to more match-fixing and other integrity issues.
