Vitality and MOUZ will meet in the BLAST Open Porto 2026 semi-finals on September 5 at 19:30 CET. The Bo3 will decide the second Grand Final participant, with #4 Vitality facing #5 MOUZ in the HLTV world ranking.
MOUZ reached the semi-finals directly after a perfect 3:0 group-stage run, while Vitality had to recover from an opening defeat to Inner Circle and have since won four consecutive elimination series. The matchup also carries an interesting head-to-head trend: Vitality have won all three meetings between the two sides in 2026.
BLAST OPEN PORTO 2026 PLAYOFFS — ONE WIN FROM THE GRAND FINAL
The playoffs use a Single Elimination format, so the winner will move directly into the Grand Final on September 6.
MOUZ earned extra rest after beating 9z 2:0, Inner Circle 2:0 and Falcons 2:1 in the group stage. Their comeback against Falcons was especially notable: MOUZ lost Nuke 6:13 before answering with 13:6 on Ancient and 13:3 on Inferno.
Vitality took the longer route. After falling 0:2 to Inner Circle, they eliminated 9z, Legacy and FUT before beating FURIA 2:1 in the quarter-finals. The roster is still competing with Justinas “jL” Lekavicius standing in for mezii.
HEAD-TO-HEAD — VITALITY HAVE WON ALL THREE MEETINGS IN 2026
Vitality have controlled the matchup this year.

- PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 — Vitality 2:0 MOUZ
- IEM Cologne Major 2026 — Vitality 2:1 MOUZ
Their latest meeting came at the Cologne Major. Vitality won Mirage 13:9 and Inferno 13:4, while MOUZ took Dust2 13:7. Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut dominated the series with a 1.63 Rating 3.0 and 57 kills.
However, both lineups are different now. PR has replaced Brollan in MOUZ, while Vitality are currently playing with jL instead of mezii, making the older head-to-head less straightforward than the 3–0 series record suggests.

Vitality — four consecutive elimination wins
Vitality have built momentum after the poor start in Porto. The comeback against FURIA was another difficult test: they lost Nuke 6:13 before responding 13:11 on Cache and 13:4 on Dust2.
ZywOo remains the main individual threat. Over the last three months, he holds a 1.32 Rating 3.0 across 36 maps, the highest mark on either side heading into the semi-final.
MOUZ — undefeated in Porto
MOUZ enter the match with three consecutive series victories and a 70.6% win rate over the last three months. They also arrive with more rest after qualifying directly for the semi-finals.
Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás has been their strongest player statistically over the same period, posting a 1.19 Rating 3.0 across 43 maps. His improved form has been one of the key factors behind the recent MOUZ results.

The Vitality numbers on Nuke, Cache and Dust2 include the quarter-final against FURIA. MOUZ statistics come from the current three-month HLTV sample.
Expected veto:
- Vitality should remove Ancient, which has remained their regular first ban.
- MOUZ are expected to remove Anubis, continuing a veto pattern they have used throughout recent events. The same two opening bans appeared in the latest Vitality–MOUZ series at Cologne.
Likely maps:
- Mirage gives MOUZ one of the clearest statistical advantages at 62.5% against 40% for Vitality. It is a logical option even though Vitality won the map in their previous meeting.
- Inferno is a strong Vitality option. Both sides hold an 80% win rate, but Vitality destroyed MOUZ 13:4 on the map at Cologne.
- Nuke could become an important third map. Both sides have strong recent numbers there, with MOUZ at 80% and Vitality at 75%.
Dust2 also favors MOUZ statistically, with a 77.8% win rate compared to 60% for Vitality, which gives MOUZ several comfortable directions after the opening bans.
KEY DUELS
- ZywOo vs torzsi — the main AWP duel, with ZywOo holding the stronger individual numbers but torzsi arriving in excellent recent form.
- ropz vs Spinx — two experienced riflers whose mid-round impact could become especially important on Inferno and Dust2.
- flameZ vs xertioN — an aggressive rifle matchup where opening pressure can quickly decide the direction of rounds.
PREDICTION
Vitality have the stronger head-to-head record and already proved in Porto that they can recover from difficult positions. ZywOo remains the best individual player in the matchup, and the experience inside Vitality gives them a realistic path even while using a stand-in.
MOUZ, however, look slightly better positioned for this specific Bo3. They are undefeated in Porto, had more time to prepare and hold statistical advantages on Mirage and Dust2 while remaining competitive on Nuke and Inferno. Vitality also had to play a full three-map quarter-final one day before the semi-final.
The series should be much closer than the recent head-to-head suggests, but the current map pool and Porto form give MOUZ a narrow advantage.
