The second semi-final of PGL Astana 2026 turned into a complete one-sided stomp. Team Spirit crushed MOUZ 2-0 and secured their place in the grand final after allowing only five total rounds across Dust2 and Nuke. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets once again looked unstoppable, while Spirit completely outclassed MOUZ in every aspect of the game.
Road to the grand final
Spirit continue looking terrifying throughout the entire PGL Astana 2026 run. The team defeated The Huns, FURIA, G2 and now MOUZ while dropping only a handful of maps during the tournament. MOUZ, meanwhile, reached the semi-finals after victories over G2 and Aurora earlier in the event, but completely collapsed against the aggressive and explosive style of Spirit.

Spirit completely destroy MOUZ on Dust2

The series started on Dust2 — Spirit’s map pick — and immediately turned into a disaster for MOUZ. Spirit dominated every area of the map from the opening rounds and constantly punished MOUZ’s attempts to take control around middle and long.
donk looked nearly impossible to stop individually, repeatedly winning aim duels and opening rounds with aggressive entries. sh1ro and zont1x also controlled the pace perfectly, while Spirit’s CT setups completely shut down every execute attempt from MOUZ.
The European squad never found economy or rhythm and looked completely overwhelmed by Spirit’s pace. The CIS side closed Dust2 with a brutal 13-3 scoreline after one-sided halves on both sides of the map.
Nuke becomes even worse for MOUZ
If Dust2 looked bad for MOUZ, Nuke turned into a complete collapse.
Spirit instantly took control of the map and repeatedly destroyed MOUZ’s defensive setups with fast upper hits and perfectly timed outside pressure. donk continued farming impact rounds, while sh1ro’s AWP constantly denied MOUZ any opportunity to stabilize the game.
MOUZ looked completely lost during rotations and repeatedly lost crucial man-advantage situations. xertioN, Spinx and torzsi all struggled heavily throughout the map, while Spirit continued snowballing round after round.
The match eventually ended with another dominant 13-2 victory for Spirit, completing one of the most brutal playoff stomps of the entire year.

donk delivers another superstar performance

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets once again became the clear MVP of the series and completely dominated the server statistically.
The young superstar finished the match with an absurd 1.95 rating, 109 ADR and +8.95% swing across only two maps. zont1x also produced a massive 1.61 rating, while sh1ro and chopper consistently controlled the pace of the game.
For MOUZ, no player managed to finish with a positive rating. torzsi became the team’s highest-rated player with only 0.94, while Spinx struggled massively and ended the series with a disastrous 0.46 rating.
The result also impacted the VRS rankings. Spirit gained +13 points and strengthened their No.2 global position with 1956 total points, while MOUZ lost 13 points despite remaining inside the top five globally.
Team reactions after the match

The dominant victory immediately generated reactions across social media from both teams.
Team Spirit celebrated the result by posting:
2-0! TOMORROW WE DEFEND OUR CHAMPIONS TITLE !! Only one series win stands between us and the trophy
Meanwhile, MOUZ players openly admitted how one-sided the series truly was. Justinas “jL” Lekavicius posted:
spirit showed there are levels to this shit, ggs
Dorian “xertioN” Berman also reacted honestly after the loss:
Damn didn’t stand much chance. GGWP Spirit we got demolished, nothing more to say.
