Familiar names of the North American scene have gathered in one roster again — and almost immediately got a result. Without a Roof with Stewie2K, autimatic, Brehze, CeRq, and FaNg became champions of ESEA Season 58 North America Finals, winning their first tournament with the new roster.
North American veterans gathered together
The core of Without a Roof consists of players who are well remembered for competing at the highest level of CS. Stewie2K, autimatic, Brehze, and CeRq represented Evil Geniuses at different periods, while FaNg completed the roster. steel became the team’s coach.
The roster has existed for only about a month, so winning the first tournament looks especially interesting. The team is still only building its own game, but the experience of its players allowed them to immediately convert the new project into a trophy.
Without a Roof went through the playoffs without losses
In the quarter-final, Without a Roof confidently dealt with Desi Boyz — 2:0. The next opponent was Marsborne, who had previously closed out Sharp 2:0 themselves, but they also could not take a single map from the favorites — another 2:0 victory.
In the Grand Final, the team faced SportsBetExpert. This time the series turned out to be more difficult, but Without a Roof still brought the match to victory — 2:1 — and claimed the ESEA Season 58 North America Finals championship.
Brehze became the main firepower
Over the first month with the roster, Brehze has shown the best individual numbers — his average rating is 1.20. CeRq follows with 1.11, FaNg has 1.05, autimatic has 1.04, and Stewie2K has 1.00.
At the same time, the team has already played 55 maps. In other words, this is not just a short successful stretch of a few matches: Without a Roof are gradually accumulating match practice, and the balance of results so far looks stable enough.
$15,000 and important VRS points
The total prize pool of the tournament was $30,500. For first place, Without a Roof received $15,000, while SportsBetExpert earned $7,500. LAG and Marsborne finished the tournament in 3rd–4th places and received $2,000 each.
The victory also brought the team 95 VRS points. After the tournament, Without a Roof have 1001 points and climbed to 97th place in Valve’s ranking, receiving an additional boost for further progress.
The first trophy of the new project
For the roster with Stewie2K, autimatic, Brehze, CeRq, and FaNg, this is only the beginning, but the first result is already there. The team of experienced players did not just return to playing together, but immediately finished its debut tournament with a championship.
Now it will be interesting to see how far this roster can go against stronger opponents. Without a Roof have already earned their first trophy and ranking points, and the next task will be to consolidate the result at a more competitive level.
