After a year and a half at the helm of G2 Esports, legendary TaZ has announced his readiness for a new challenge. The former Major champion and three-time LAN winner as a coach is now open to new offers — and determined to return to the competitive CS2 scene.

From player to team architect

Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas ended his professional playing career back in 2022, leaving behind an entire era of Polish Counter-Strike. Just a year later, he began a new chapter — this time as head coach of G2 Esports.

Over 550 days of work, TaZ built a competitive structure that endured numerous challenges: roster changes, post-Major crises, and the transition to CS2. Despite all obstacles, his squad captured three prestigious titles in 2024 — IEM Dallas, BLAST Premier Fall Final, and BLAST Premier World Final.

Achievements: consistency at the top

Under TaZ’s leadership, G2 played 19 LAN events, winning three of them. Beyond the championships, the team twice reached the top 4 at Majors — in Copenhagen and Shanghai — and finished as runners-up at PGL Bucharest 2025.

Even in the toughest tournaments, G2 remained among the favorites: consistent performances against NaVi, Falcons, and GamerLegion demonstrated the depth of the system that TaZ had built.

A new start after G2

The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 marked TaZ’s final tournament with G2, as the team failed to advance past the group stage. Following the event, the organization officially parted ways with the coach, with sAw taking over his position.

However, for TaZ, this is not an ending but a transition to a new chapter. He emphasized that he is ready to work with any team — from promising up-and-coming rosters to Tier-1 lineups, adding that he “has no agent and is not afraid of challenges.”

Legacy and philosophy

TaZ has always been known for his ability to see beyond the game itself. Even during his time with Virtus.pro, he was the strategic brain of the roster — and as a coach, he successfully translated that experience into building team dynamics.

He consistently promoted young talent, enforced discipline, and combined it with an old-school mindset — a factor that often proved decisive in key LAN matches. His vision goes beyond winning — it’s about creating a structure where every player understands their role and grows within the system.

What’s next?

After nearly two years at the highest level, TaZ has no plans to take a break. His coaching record speaks for itself: 3 titles, 6 top-4 finishes, and 2 Majors in the playoffs.

Now, he is seeking an organization willing to bet on experience, vision, and a winning mentality. And if he succeeds in finding the right team, 2026 could mark the triumphant return of one of the most iconic leaders in CS history.
