Former Passion UA coach Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen has confirmed that he is a free agent. The South African coach said his contract with Passion UA ended in June. He is now open to new opportunities amid uncertainty surrounding the organization.
T.c has been a free agent since June

T.c clarified his situation on X after HLTV reported problems behind the scenes at Passion UA. The report claimed that the organization owes significant sums to several players and staff members. The 33-year-old explained that his contract had already ended before the report appeared.
Just to clear up any confusion. I am no longer contracted to Passion UA and have not been since June. Currently a free agent and open to opportunities.
His post also sparked a humorous exchange with analyst Luukas “Faust” Nieminen. Faust noticed that T.c still listed himself as Passion UA’s head coach on his X profile. T.c joked that he should check his profile more often and thanked him for pointing it out.
Passion UA found success under T.c
T.c joined Passion UA in April 2025 after spending three years with Complexity. His arrival marked an important change for the organization. Passion UA had previously focused on an all-Ukrainian lineup. Several members of the former Complexity core later reunited with T.c at Passion UA. The team soon achieved several notable results.
Passion UA won Urban Riga Open Season 1 and recorded multiple top-four finishes at DraculaN events. The team also reached Stage 3 of the StarLadder Budapest Major. However, they narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
Results declined in 2026
Passion UA struggled to maintain that momentum in 2026. One of their biggest setbacks came when they failed to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major. The team’s season effectively ended in May. Passion UA withdrew from BC Game Masters Championship Season 2 and have not played an HLTV-recorded official match since then.
Passion UA face an uncertain future
T.c’s announcement adds another development to the uncertainty surrounding Passion UA’s Counter-Strike project. Recent reports have raised concerns about unpaid money within the organization. Meanwhile, the team remains inactive. T.c, however, has now made his own status clear. His contract ended in June, and he is searching for his next coaching opportunity. Several Counter-Strike personalities reacted to his announcement and wished him success in finding a new team.
