The August ranking of the best CS2 players turned out to be quite unusual, as the ranking combined very different profiles. Some players made the top because of a large map sample and stability, while others did so through a short but very strong stretch. That is why this list is important not only as a plain top 10, but also as a snapshot of the scene’s form over the past month.
The best players of August
With the filters last month, top 10, all maps, and CS2, the top ten best players of August looks like this:

The main feature of this top is the difference in sample size. For example, Magnojez has only one map and 24 rounds, while donk played 20 maps, try — 19, KSCERATO — 17, and ZywOo and HeavyGod — 12 each. Therefore, first place looks bright, but it is the longer distance that better shows the players’ real stability.

Magnojez and ZywOo
Magnojez formally topped the ranking with a 1.35 rating. He has an even K/D of 1.00, 17 kills, 17 deaths, 93.8 ADR, and a 1.45 impact rating. This is a very strong map against a top-10 opponent, but the main limitation here is obvious — only one map, so his first place looks more like a powerful isolated flash than full-fledged domination of the month.
ZywOo looks much more convincing specifically in terms of stability. The Frenchman played 12 maps, recorded a 1.32 Rating 3.0, has +67 in K-D Diff, a 1.44 K/D, 86.0 ADR, and 0.84 KPR. His profile has almost no weak points: 98/100 firepower, 90/100 clutching, and 88/100 sniping. So even if he is second on the list, in terms of quality over distance this is one of the strongest results of August.
m0NESY and jL
m0NESY took third place with a 1.29 rating over 8 maps. He has +34 in kill-death difference, a 1.37 K/D, 79.3 ADR, and 0.80 KPR. His sniping and clutching numbers stand out the most: 94/100 sniping and 93/100 clutching. This is exactly the case when a player is not just farming stats, but remains a key figure in the most important moments.
jL finished fourth with a 1.28 rating over 7 maps. His numbers also look strong: +27 K-D Diff, 1.31 K/D, 80.1 ADR, and 58.4% headshot. Entrying stands out especially — 95/100, which clearly explains his place in the top. Unlike pure sniping profiles, jL gives the team aggression, first contacts, and consistent rifling impact.
donk and HeavyGod
donk closed out the top 5 with a 1.28 rating, but his result is one of the most significant because of the size of the sample. He played 20 maps, 442 rounds, has +63 K-D Diff, 88.0 ADR, 0.83 KPR, and a 1.53 impact rating. He has 98/100 firepower and 93/100 opening, which once again highlights his role: donk does not just shoot a lot, he constantly creates advantages for Spirit.
HeavyGod placed sixth with a 1.21 rating over 12 maps. His statistics are less explosive than donk’s or ZywOo’s, but very useful for the team structure: +25 K-D Diff, 1.17 K/D, 79.0 ADR, and 94/100 clutching. In other words, his value is shown less through constant pressure and more through reliability, survival, and the ability to close difficult rounds.
try and Twistzz
try finished seventh with a 1.18 rating over 19 maps. His +75 K-D Diff is one of the most noticeable figures in the top, while his 1.31 K/D and 93/100 sniping show how important his AWP role was for Legacy. Even with not the highest ADR on the list, 75.6, he consistently gave the team frags and an advantage over distance.
Twistzz ended up eighth with a 1.15 rating over 8 maps. His statistics are not as bright in terms of K-D Diff — only +3 — but at the same time he has 76.9 ADR, 61.5% headshot, and 83/100 utility. This shows a more complete profile: Twistzz was not always FaZe’s main fragger, but remained useful through shooting quality, grenades, and overall discipline in rounds.
KSCERATO and mezii
KSCERATO took ninth place with a 1.15 rating over 17 maps. He has +29 K-D Diff, a 1.12 K/D, 78.9 ADR, and a fairly balanced set of roles: 78/100 firepower, 64/100 trading, 66/100 clutching, and 69/100 utility. This is his typical stable profile, where there is no single excessive peak, but there is constant value in almost every component of the game.
mezii closed the top 10 with a 1.15 rating over 5 maps. His numbers look more modest in volume — +3 K-D Diff, 1.04 K/D, and 71.8 ADR, but the 97/100 trading score clearly explains his presence in the top ten. He was not Vitality’s main star, but he did important work in trades and support, which is often less noticeable at first glance.
August showed different types of strength
This top 10 clearly shows that Rating 3.0 is not always reduced only to the highest number of frags. The list includes explosive stars such as ZywOo, m0NESY, and donk, but also players with a more team-oriented profile — mezii, Twistzz, KSCERATO, and HeavyGod. That is why the top ten looks diverse, not just like a list of the most aggressive shooters.
The main conclusion from August is simple: Magnojez took first place thanks to a short but very strong stretch, while ZywOo, donk, and try look the most convincing over distance. If we evaluate not only the position in the top, but also the number of maps, stability, and role in the team, they became the main faces of the month.
