The MongolZ have completed their roster rebuild after an unsuccessful start to the second half of the season. Experienced nin9 has joined the starting five, while cobrazera has returned after several months on the bench. For the Mongolian team, this is an attempt to restore stability ahead of a packed October stretch.
The MongolZ completed two changes
28-year-old Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga joined The MongolZ from The Huns. At the same time, the organization brought Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar back into the starting lineup after he spent almost three months on the bench.
The newcomers took the places of tikuak and DarkMeister, whom the team recently moved to the bench. Thus, the starting five now consists of bLitz, 910, Techno, cobrazera, and nin9, while maaRaa remains the coach.
nin9 returns to familiar surroundings
For nin9, this is effectively a return to The MongolZ after eight years. He already represented the organization in 2018, when current coach maaRaa was still playing in the lineup as a player.
In addition, nin9 is well acquainted with bLitz and Techno. Together, they played for IHC and in 2022 became part of the first Mongolian team to qualify for a Major. Therefore, the new player’s adaptation may go faster than it would with a player completely new to the team.
The team needs stability
The changes come after a difficult period for The MongolZ. The team performed poorly at several recent tournaments, while tikuak and DarkMeister were unable to consistently establish themselves against stronger international opponents.
Against this backdrop, the return of experienced nin9 and proven cobrazera looks like an attempt to move away from yet another roster experiment. The MongolZ need results in the near future, as the team has significantly lost ground in the world ranking and risks losing its status as one of the leaders of the Asian scene.

The new roster will debut in October
The first tournament for the updated The MongolZ will be 1win Private Club Season 2, which will take place in Belgrade on October 19–22 and will feature a $100,000 prize pool. Just a few days later, the team will also head to PGL Masters Bucharest, scheduled for October 24–31.
These two tournaments should show whether The MongolZ have managed to find a more stable configuration. The return of nin9 adds experience and familiar connections inside the roster, but now the main task is to turn that into results after an unsuccessful start to the season.
