Counter-Strike 2 content creator ThourCS2 says cheating affected nearly half of his Premier Season 5 matches. After tracking 22 games, he decided not to return until at least half of the cheaters he faced receive bans.

The figures add another public account to the discussion around Premier’s anti-cheat system. ThourCS2 played at roughly 25,000 Elo, placing the sample close to the upper end of the ranked ladder.

Eleven Wins, Ten Cheater Games

ThourCS2 ended the 22-match sample with 11 wins and 11 losses. However, he identified cheaters in 10 matches, or 45% of all games played.

The content creator also stated that around 90% of the suspected cheaters were blatant. His match sheet covers games from July 30 to August 22 and shows his Elo ranging from 24,612 to 24,999.

ThourCS2 was one win away from the red Premier medal. Instead, he wrote that he encountered rage cheaters and lost the desire to continue playing Premier.

Community Reacts to the Data

The post prompted other Counter-Strike 2 creators and players to share similar experiences. One user suggested dropping to 15,000–16,000 Elo, claiming that Premier matches become more normal at that level.

Another community member said cheaters appeared in around 20% of his games at 4,000 Elo. Therefore, complaints about cheating are not limited to the highest Premier ranks.

ThourCS2 later confirmed that none of the accounts he marked in the spreadsheet had received bans. When asked about Competitive mode, he estimated that he met a cheater in roughly one out of every 10 matches there.

Premier’s Anti-Cheat Debate Continues

The report follows news of a late-July fix for a VACnet bypass. The issue had reportedly allowed some cheat users to avoid VACnet detection before Valve addressed it.

However, ThourCS2’s data shows that confidence in Premier remains low among parts of the community. His decision to stop playing until bans arrive highlights the continued demand for clear and timely anti-cheat action.
