Vitality defeated FURIA 2:1 in the BLAST Open Porto 2026 quarter-finals, recovering from a one-sided loss on their own Nuke pick to eliminate FURIA and advance to the semi-finals. Vitality answered with victories on Cache and Dust2 and will now face MOUZ for a place in the Grand Final.
The victory continues the Porto run of Vitality with Justinas “jL” Lekavicius standing in for mezii. After losing their opening series against Inner Circle, Vitality have now won four consecutive elimination matches.
Vitality recovered after a difficult Nuke

FURIA immediately punished Vitality on Nuke despite it being the opposing map pick. They built a 10:2 advantage in the opening half and gave Vitality little room to recover after the side switch, closing the map 13:6.
Vitality responded on Cache. They took an 8:4 halftime lead before FURIA recovered after the switch and brought the score close. Vitality still held on to close the FURIA pick 13:11 and force the series onto Dust2.
The decider was tied 4:4 before Vitality took control late in the opening half and entered the break ahead 8:4. They did not lose a single round after the side switch, winning five straight to finish Dust2 13:4 and complete the comeback.

ZywOo finished as the highest-rated player of the series despite Vitality struggling heavily on the opening map. Robin “ropz” Kool recorded the most kills for Vitality with 44 and finished with a 1.07 rating.
Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato led FURIA with a 1.09 rating and a 37–34 K–D. Danil “molodoy” Golubenko was the only other FURIA player above a 1.00 rating, finishing at 1.02.

Vitality gained 26 points from the quarter-final victory and moved one position up to #4 in VRS. FURIA lost ten points but remain at #7 after their elimination.

Vitality will face MOUZ in the BLAST Open Porto 2026 semi-finals on September 5 at 19:30 CET. The winner will advance to the Grand Final, while the losing side will leave the tournament.
