Friday, August 14, will bring six best-of-three matches in the CS2 group stage, and the results will shape the road to the playoffs. Teams in Groups B and C will fight either for a direct playoff spot or simply to stay alive in the tournament.
The group stage format creates two very different pressures on the same day. In elimination matches, there is no second chance: the losing team packs up and leaves the tournament immediately. Meanwhile, in the playoff-deciding matches, the winner secures a place in the next stage, giving those series their own high-stakes atmosphere.
Group B: Two Elimination Battles
Ninjas in Pyjamas will face BetBoom Team in a Group B elimination match at 13:00 CEST. The loser will be knocked out of the tournament on the spot.
Later in the day, K27 will meet MIBR in another Group B elimination clash, scheduled for 18:50 CEST. As with the earlier series, only the winning side will continue its campaign.

Group C: Survival and Advance Matches
B8 and Vitality will meet at 15:55 CEST in a match that decides a playoff spot directly. As a result, the winner will move on to the next stage of the tournament, making this one of the day’s most closely watched series.
FUT and MOUZ will also play for a playoff place at 15:55 CEST. Similar to the B8 versus Vitality series, this match offers the winning team a direct route into the playoffs, which is why it draws just as much attention.
TYLOO will take on Lynn Vision at 13:00 CEST in a Group C elimination match. The losing roster will exit the tournament, while the winner keeps its playoff hopes alive.
Finally, PARIVISION will face 100 Thieves at 18:50 CEST in a Group C elimination match. The stakes are simple: win to survive, or lose and go home.

Why Friday’s Results Will Matter
Friday’s schedule will decide which teams from Groups B and C move closer to the playoffs and which ones see their tournament end. Four rosters will fight simply to survive, while two more series will hand out direct playoff spots, giving the day a genuine mix of tension and opportunity.
The B8 versus Vitality and FUT versus MOUZ series stand out as the marquee playoff battles, since both winners will book their place in the next stage without any need for a second attempt. Meanwhile, the four elimination matches carry their own weight: Ninjas in Pyjamas, BetBoom Team, K27, MIBR, TYLOO, Lynn Vision, PARIVISION, and 100 Thieves will all know that a single loss ends their run.
