MOUZ captain Dorian “xertioN” Berman believes the current lineup is the strongest version of the team, highlighting improved role distribution following the additions of Oldřich “PR” Nový and Adrian “xelex” Vincze. Speaking in an interview with HLTV after defeating BetBoom 2:0 at IEM Beijing 2026, the Israeli player discussed the development of the roster, the growing independence of xelex and the team’s ambitions ahead of the Singapore Major.
MOUZ secured their sixth playoff appearance of the Fall season after defeating TYLOO and BetBoom without dropping a map in Beijing.
xertioN considers the current MOUZ their strongest lineup
Despite consistently reaching the playoffs, MOUZ have struggled to convert deep tournament runs into titles. However, xertioN believes the current roster has greater potential than previous versions.
I think this is the best MOUZ we have ever seen.
The captain explained that the main improvement comes from the distribution of roles. When Lotan “Spinx” Giladi and Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo played together, he felt the team had too many passive players, limiting their flexibility during rounds.
According to xertioN, Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás also had to take on additional utility responsibilities despite wanting to play more aggressively. The current lineup provides a better balance between aggressive and passive roles.
PR and xelex bring more flexibility to MOUZ
xertioN praised PR for his versatility and highlighted the development of xelex as a CT-side anchor. He believes both players have helped MOUZ become more dynamic and improved the overall balance of the roster.
Right now, it feels like we have much more dynamic players.
The captain also discussed the importance of allowing xelex to make independent decisions. Although the young player is still developing his consistency, xertioN wants him to take greater responsibility during rounds rather than rely entirely on instructions from teammates.
I don’t want xelex to be like a puppet.
He explained that positions on maps such as Ancient and Cache require xelex to control important areas and make decisions independently. The captain and coaching staff are working to give him more freedom, including on the T side.
MOUZ target a trophy before the Singapore Major
MOUZ have already secured a playoff spot at IEM Beijing 2026 following victories over TYLOO and BetBoom. However, xertioN stressed that consistently reaching the playoffs is no longer enough for the team.
The captain wants MOUZ to win at least one of their next two tournaments, with events in Beijing and Hong Kong providing opportunities to secure another title before the PGL Singapore Major 2026.
He also admitted that his individual form is not currently at its highest level. Despite the demanding tournament schedule, xertioN believes he can improve his performances while continuing to develop as an in-game leader.
For MOUZ, the immediate focus remains on converting their consistent playoff appearances into trophies. The team will face PARIVISION in the Group B upper-bracket final at IEM Beijing, with the winner advancing directly to the semifinals.
