BIG Academy continue their run at DraculaN Season 2 with a new coach and a refreshed roster. The central figures of the team are not only the young Can “kyuubii” Ali but also legendary German veteran Fatih “gob b” Dayik, who has returned to the academy squad as head coach. Their cooperation is already attracting attention from the community.

THE STORY BEHIND KYUUBII’S TRANSITION TO THE ACADEMY PROJECT
At just 20 years old, kyuubii has significant experience for his age: he has already played for fnatic, BIG, and Sangal. His move to BIG Academy in August 2025 was seen as a step back, but the player himself views this period as a chance for growth. Unlike his short stint in the main BIG roster, here he gets more freedom in the game and takes on leadership responsibilities.
I’m definitely taking a lot of responsibility in this team. I’m kind of a babysitter in a way, like I’m taking care of the people, especially the young guns who are really inexperienced here.
MEET THE FIVE: THE CURRENT BIG ACADEMY ROSTER
The current lineup looks like this:
- Maze
- kyuubii
- JBOEN
- xonn1k
- w1dow
- Coach: gob b
The average age of the team is only 20.8 years. gob b’s experience as a mentor is a key factor expected to compensate for the lack of stability in the roster.
HARD WORK AND VISION: WHAT GOB B BRINGS TO THE TABLE
The return of gob b was an important moment for the academy. According to kyuubii, the new coach not only sets a high standard of hard work but also offers a completely different approach to Counter-Strike.
He has a completely different vision of Counter-Strike than I’ve ever seen. Even when practice is over, he’s spending like 4–5 more hours on the server, always messaging me, ‘Hey, do you have time to go on the server, I want to show you new nades, tactics,’ or whatever.
This dedication influences the young players as well, motivating them to maintain the same level of discipline.
HOW KYUUBII BECAME THE VOICE OF BIG ACADEMY
Now kyuubii is not only fulfilling the role of rifler but also effectively acting as a mentor to his less experienced teammates. His words reflect the awareness of his new responsibility:
I’m trying to teach them what the limits are, what you can do, what you should not do… I would say, in a way, a teacher right now for them.
This combination of individual freedom and leadership makes him the central figure of the project.
DRACULAN SEASON 2 AS A TEST FOR CONSISTENCY
BIG Academy have already gone through mixed results: a loss to ECSTATIC (1:2) but a confident win over HyperSpirit (2:0). Their map pool statistics highlight strengths — Train, Overpass, and Dust2 (100% win rate) — but also clear weaknesses on Inferno, Mirage, and Nuke.

Importantly, the team is still searching for stability. Frequent roster changes and a low ranking (#208 in the world) emphasize that DraculaN Season 2 is more of a laboratory than a title hunt for them. But even in such conditions, gob b is trying to lay the foundation for development.
THE ROAD AHEAD: GROWTH OR STAGNATION?
After DraculaN, BIG Academy face further academy and online leagues. For kyuubii, this stage looks like a test of endurance: can he turn his leadership experience into results? And for gob b, it’s a chance to prove that his unique vision applies not only to the main roster but also to the nurturing of a new generation of players.
MORE THAN RESULTS: THE VALUE OF DISCIPLINE AND MENTORSHIP
BIG Academy are currently far from being a top-tier squad, but the dynamic between gob b and kyuubii looks promising. The coach’s discipline and dedication combine with the ambitions of young talents. If this balance is maintained, BIG Academy could step out of the shadows in the future and become more than just a stepping stone for players into the main team.
