StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 was memorable not only for its match results, but also for the number of spectacular individual moments that Valve added to the game as keychain highlights. The absolute leader in this metric was broky, who collected the highest number of “best moments” throughout the playoffs and the tournament as a whole.
At the end of the Major, the FaZe player topped the rankings, finishing ahead of several star names on the scene. His consistent performances in decisive stages, a high number of clutches, and key frags directly influenced how often broky appeared in the highlight selections.
Leaders and outsiders by number of highlights
According to Budapest Major statistics, broky collected 20 highlights, the highest total at the tournament. Close behind him was a tight group of star players, with minimal differences between positions. frozen, ropz, and Twistzz finished on 19 moments, while mezii and ZywOo recorded 18 each. Even karrigan, as a captain, appeared among the leaders with 17 highlights — a figure that underlines his impact not only strategically, but also individually.
On the opposite end of the rankings are players for whom the Major was less spectacular in terms of individual moments. Some names from top teams ended up near the bottom with two to five highlights, once again showing that this metric does not always directly correlate with team success, but does reflect playstyle and role within a system.
Comparison with Austin and total volume of moments
Compared to the Major in Austin, Valve added 119 fewer highlights. There, ZywOo led the rankings, while in Budapest the top spot shifted to broky. In total, 492 highlights were added to the game, which still remains a very high figure for a single tournament.
Notably, the highest concentration of moments occurred on Inferno in the final, where 36 highlights were recorded. This once again confirms the map’s status as one of the most action-oriented in decisive matches.
Vitality’s dominance in highlights
Vitality deserve special attention. More than a quarter of all added highlights belong to players from this organization. ZywOo, apEX, mezii, flameZ, ropz, and spinx regularly appeared in the best-moment selections, creating a clear gap compared to most other teams in total number of standout episodes.
This fact illustrates not only individual skill, but also Vitality’s playstyle — aggressive, duel-heavy, and full of situations that Valve readily captures as highlights.

Budapest Major 2025
Budapest Major 2025 showed that broky became the tournament’s main highlight star, surpassing even the biggest names on the scene. At the same time, the overall picture highlights Vitality’s systemic advantage and a shift in trends compared to previous Majors. The total number of moments decreased, but their concentration in decisive matches and around top players only increased — and this is exactly what shapes the new visual identity of modern CS2.
